Do they still require you to display small bottles and tubes in a clear plastic bag when going through controls into departure lounge at UK airports?

I just use a Tesco Value plastic freezer bag - a whole roll of them for less than a pound. Sometimes had a raised eyebrow at security but never had it refused.
As long as it's clear, plastic and of a reasonable size then it can be any plastic bag you want.0 -
they need to be clear and re-sealable bags - so any ziplock-type sandwich or food freezer bags will do from any supermarket.
they do charge for suitable bags at some airports - East Midlands charge for example.0 -
I bought a roll of clear plastic sandwich bags, and used one of them! also the bags at supermarket for fruit and veg seem to work well!Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles
