That was all that was required, i the left it and came back out Sunday morning and it had got rid of the lot, I didn't even have to wash it down. I just brushed the wood with our outdoor broom which also got rid of the dust and grit and it was as good as new.
So from an effort point of view I'd have to give it 10/10, I can't comment on there sales point that it stops it reoccurring for 6months, will let you know later in the summer. There was no smell or staining so really pleased and I've got a lot left to try on other stuff. I'm going to try it on the guttering and the green house (apparently it's good for all that).
So if it came down in price it would be ideal, well that and if it also lives up to the 6 month claim.
Thanks for being so helpful, very much appreciated.
Thanks for the feedback, however I am concerned that this treatment may have to be redone every 6 months or so, if that is he case it will be a very expensive maintenance job.

RBT247 is now available on Amazon - it's £2.00 cheaper and the postage is £4.99 so almost a £7 saving on buying direct. Still on the expensive side but if it works it may well be worth it.0

mrmulberry, thanks for posting your feedback - glad it seems to have done the job. I think I'm gonna get some from amazon (thanks manicmiller) as it's a little bit cheaper. Out of interest, I don't suppose you have any animals do you mrmulberry? If so, did you keep them in when you applied it to your decking?0

RBT247 sounds interesting. I wonder if it would work on a polycarbonate conservatory roof?Stompa0

Hi Tom, we have a cat (not really ours as I'm allergic to them, but he came with the missus) he was out in the garden while I was using the RBT he's fine. They mention a lot on their site about it's use in animal areas so I figured it was ok.
And also Stompa I think you can use it on conservatories see this link that I read which gave me the idea to use it on our greenhouse

I'm a bit annoyed that I could have saved nearly a tenner buying it from Amazon, I don't recall seeing it when I looked. But I have been very pleased with it, I've used it on our small garden wall by the decking and it did exactly the same job on that. I feel a little bit like a kid looking for things to spray it on.0 -

If you read post #19 you will see I have already told you that;)

Hi Derrick, yes I noticed unfortunately I'd already ordered it at that point. But it's obviously good to know for future.
In another small update I used the soda crystals on the one side of our green house and the RBT247 on the other. The soda crystals shifted the moss easily but it was a lot more scrubbing and sweating and I did have to wash it down afterwards and the cloth the glass. Where as the RBT worked just liked it did on our decking. I did clean the glass afterwards with a damp window cloth just to get rid of the smears, but it avoided a couple of extra stages that you have to do with the soda crystals. Then again the soda crystals are cheaper but they are when compared to any moss killer.
So hope this helps for anyone interested and thanks for all your help.0 -
Small update, as the weather has been good I'm having a long weekend so having tested the RBT and Soda crystals to death in my garden I've now used the RBT (went for the less exertion route) on my mom and dads decking and it cleaned theirs up a treat. I did make the mix a bit stronger as there's was in a worse state than ours. Having again left it over night, it did the job a treat.
Also means we get Sunday dinner cooked for us as a thank you while watching the Grand Prix so result all roads round.
Enjoy the weather everyone.0 -
mrmulberry,
Thanks for keeping us updated with how you've been getting on fending off the dreaded moss and algae!...I have been meaning to get back on here but we were away last week sunning ourselves in South Wales, so I haven't had chance until now (couldn't have picked a better week for a break though!)
Great to hear that your cat hasn't had any adverse reactions to the RBT stuff you've been using - I had seen the spiel on their website but my other half was insistent on hearing from other users before we put anything down on our patio - so thanks for being our guinea pig! I thought she was overreacting until I read how toxic some of the other products are...but I'm defo gona give RBT a whirl now, I'll be ordering some tonight off Amazon, so I'll be back on here at some point in the next few weeks to put forward my views and experience.
Thanks again0
