Not sure if it will be of any help at all but they are a more traditional baby shop and are happy for you to pick your pram and pay a deposit on it and will then even when you have paid the full amount for it will hold it in their warehouse for you until you choose to collect it. In our case my husband was sent there the morning after our youngest son was born to collect his pram for him so that it was at home and ready for when we were discharged from hospital. :D

M&P admitted that the frame was skewed as a result of having a changing bag on the handle.

Sorry to revive an old thread but I'm looking for a pushchair for my Grandson who's coming up to 3. I live a long way from the shops and it's much too far for him to walk there and back when he stays with me so we need a big enough buggy to keep him comfy and that's easy for me to push. If anyone has any suggestions I'd be grateful :)

As to the comment from oda - My daughter was told by M&P that it was her own fault her 8 month old Pliko Switch didn't fold right because she'd used the changing bag on the handles! She pointed out that they show matching changing bags in situ in all the photos and in the shop displays.......he couldn't answer that one ;) She got someone to push the frame back into place and sold it straight away and bought a Maclaren.
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

    Hi,

we are expecting our first in February. I had my heart set on the Recaro Babyzen but have now discounted as it faces away.

Looks like we are going to go for the iCandy Apple jogger, with a Recaro Young Profi.

I can't seem to actually find any prices for the Apple jogger and carrycot.

Does anyone know the costs, and better still does anyone have one and can share their experiences of using it?

    Thanks in advance.

iCandy are very expensive, you cant buy them online so you'd have to go to somewhere which stocks them.

I liked the look of a few iCandys, but they were very bulky and heavy I felt when viewing them in the shop and not worth the extra money in my opinon.

Thanks, sorry I should have said, that we'd been in John Lewis, but they didn't have the jogger, we tried out the normall Apple and were happy with the bulk and weight.

I asked my friend who works for John Lewis and she thinks there around £700? but that's carrycot etc included and about £800-ish if you want a maxi cosi car seat too.

    Thanks Gilly.
I am even more confused, I see that there's a Peach jogger coming out!
I think I need to find a shop that has them both in stock and see what the differences and prices are.

I think if you go on the iCandy website you can check for local stockists. We've got the peach (not the jogger though) and I love it! Baby's not even here yet but I can't wait to take them out in it! We got ours second hand from eBay after looking at it in John Lewis.

  • Hi,
I'm just starting the confusing journey of buggy/pram/trvael system, etc shopping.

Would I be right in assuming that the different makes/models mentioned in this thread are only compatible with their own particular make of car seat? Or do they have universal connections/adapters to allow any make of seat to be fitted?

I ask becuase I had started looking from the point of view of buying the safest car seat for which I would then look at the corresponding buggy pram to go with it. However, I have found that I didn't like the buggy/pram of the same make and would like to know if it's possible to mix and match.
  • I've got M&P sola 2 in 1. Never heard a bad thing about it. It fits in my fiat punto boot. It was #2 on which best buy list (number 1 was about £600). You can put a maxi cosi car seat straight on it.

I bought it new because I wanted the warrenty, and also wanted one that would last me 3 years +
