Anyone have any further information on NTL providing freebie upgrades?
I'm familiar with the aspects originally announced which I thought was to take place during late January. Understandable delays occur but does anyone know when it has been pushed back to or if there has been further news since originally announced?
I had a quick brief look on the NTLworld site, but did not see anything of substance...
Thanks in advance for responses....

Crickey...!
Good news about the minor increase to the upload speed for 3mb!
BUT....pants with the 1GB daily download limit......sucks big time. Quite certain I'll jump ship if I get stung with any charges once they begin policing and enforcing that comical rule. Its far to harsh and should be at least 2GB if your forking out close to £40 a month.
If your working from home connected to an office remotely, you will easily pass 1GB in 8 hours alone....shocking!

im getting fed up with ntl....when i first joined they were superb and i got a deal of 12.49 inc for 600k bb (now 750K)....if you experienced any problems then you phone their 24/7 technical service (wasnt often though).
Anyway, about a year later some muppet at ntl decided to change the 24/7 support without telling its customers, they dont tell you of planned outages - the info is placed on their website (WHAT...er how about an email in advance you muppets!)
I have also noticed that since getting the 750K service, service is SLOWER! and im sometimes getting timeouts
Added to that they have overcharged me....£15.99 for 2 years...2.49 overcharge and overcharged me since Sept 2004 by 12.50.....i am not happy....spoke to customer services and they said my deal had expired and should have expired after a year.....i was not informed this when i joined up.....so from next month i will be paying 24.99 for 750k......so i am looking elsewhere...they will refund all monies owed though
despite this, ntl customer service and billing are appalling.Stevie Coppell's record breaking blue and white royal army - championship winners 2005-60
