PS3 HDMI Connection Issues on Samsung LE40B550-A5WXXU

Did check the 2 HDMI cables that I had with different devices and they worked with different devices, such as the Sky+HD and the HTPC, BUT when I use EITHER the HDMI cable that came with the Sky+HD box and another HDMI cable to a PS3, it doesn't seem to work and to make matters worse, when I try to configure it via the Display Settings selection on the XMB, it STILL DOESN'T F***ING show ANYTHING

Also, when I tried to check the sound settings and configure the sound (I chose the HDMI port selection on the PS3), it throws up a connection error!

THIS IS REALLY STARTING TO P*** ME OFF! >:-(

Im starting to wonder if the PS3 is faulty. Has it EVER worked via HDMI? is it new?

Sadly, no, it is a second-hand 40GB PS3 (Model: CECHG03) and the previous owner hasn't used the HDMI before

Now I DON'T even know what to do!

I suspect the previous owner had used the HDMI before, and probably sold it knowing it doesnt work

But then again, it would've said "check signal cable" if it didn't work at all, so I'm a bit puzzled!

Anyways, I still have one option, which is to take it to my mate's house and see if it works

If you hadnt reset when you tested on the monitors then it could be it works on them now

That's the problem though, I DID perform a reset a couple of times with the PS3 using the PC monitors I had and it doesn't show anything but a black screen - oh well, forget it for now - I'll post back on this forum once I get it to work!
