mintymoneysaver wrote:What a lovely thread, hugs to you all! Christmas is a very hard time to cope with at the best of times, but especially when we are all working so hard at not spending more than we need.
Can I make an offer? Is there anyone out there who would like a King Kong dvd to use as a Christmas present for someone? I bought it off CDwow thanks to a post on here, but I really have no one to give it to. I could put it on ebay but I'd rather give it to someone here who might need it.
I'll pay the postage as well ( as you can see I'm nearly debtfree) Just send me a pm, but please only if you really want it, that's why I put it on here not on freebies.
What a kind and generous offer - thank you mintymoneysaver :T :TLeason learnt :beer:0 -
big hugs and kisses to everyone who is struggling or having a hard time:kisses3: :grouphug:
I hope things start to get better very soon.
I have been on holiday for a week (didn't go anywhere) just spent time with my choldren and realised how adorable (little monkeys too!) they are.
I can not leave work to be with them or they would have no clothes/heating or food! so it made me appreciate that time so much.

aww thanks moozie..what a star! Like most I am struggling to be DFW with christmas (my first DFW one!) as usually spend loads (on cc of course!) but this year have made 4 christmas cakes, will make bath bombs, have made mince meat & chutney & having fun being innovative with pressies...but also discivered it would have been cheaper not to make the cakes!!
This comes at a perfect time for me moozie as have been struggling to keep up with it all & resist the "*** it" urges...also not paying much off this month which is depressing but a realistic plan me thinks...ho hum,,,will get there in the end (approx 2012!)...thanks for hugs though...Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Hi Moozie, only saw this thread today, because I haven't been around much myself - but I did tell you, on Friday, that I wouldn't be around at the weekend, so I'm not one of the 'missing' posters.
However, it is so reassuring to know that people are missed, and now, come to think of it, there are a lot of people, out there, who haven't been posting lately - I hope they are ok and that they know that they can come along at any time - even just to say hello.
Thank you, Moozie, for starting this thread.:A :beer:I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.

Big hugs to you, Annie :grouphug: - sending positive (((((vibes))))) that things get better for you soon...;)
I hope your blood tests went OK today, and that the car park and prescription fees weren't too extortionate. I feel for you because Mr P has a lot of both of these, and I know how annoying they can be - when he has his specialist appointments, it is a "sit and wait" clinic where everyone is given the same time, so we all have to turn up at lunchtime, and he is rarely seen before 5pm - but of course we can't take the risk of entering the carpark at 4.30pm because every once in a blue moon he gets seen at 3pm!! One thing that helps us is that he pays for a pre-paid prescription which lasts for three months (and our GP is great - she knows he is unable to work, therefore money is a little tight, but he is ineligible for benefits, so helps us out by prescribing as much as she can at the end of each 3 months so we get a "bonus" month!) - so we generally pay for 3 x 3 month prescription charges each year. Don't know if this could help you - but it might be worth looking into...
Anyway...:grouphug: and :kisses3: and I hope you're feeling better soon!
