Just got back from the market and bought some beef for Sunday lunch and enough lamb chops for a couple of meals, also got fruit and veg for the weeks meals and spent a total of £15. The beef is in the oven and it's time to have a mooch on here for a while.

Hi missy, I watched extreme couponing last week and thought it was brilliant, there is no way the supermarkets would let us get away with all those coupons in this country. I am catching up on Sundays programme any minute now.
Just came back from the supermarket, I haven't been for a few days so had a few things I had to get such as bread, eggs, bananas etc. Spent £19.72 and saved just over £5 using coupons. Hopefully I will have an RTD coupon from Mr T as well.May Grocery Challenge - £280.26/£250 (includes all food, toiletries and takeaway's for a family of four)0 -
Morning all, went to weigh on Thursday and had stayed the same, so pleased with that. Picked up a small photo album to put my coupons in, much easier to carry then around when I go shopping. Also had a bargain when I was at Mr T's, picked up a tin of princes salmon in the reduction aisle and I wasn't sure how much it was, so took it to the till to ask and it turned out to be 1p
. Went back to see if there was any more, but they were all gone.
Had my hair cut yesterday, but instead of having it coloured at the hairdressers I bought a dye to do at home. Did that last night and i am well pleased with it and saved about £20.
I have to go around the newsagents in a minute as I am picking up the news of the world to get the £5 coupon off £40 spend at Morrisons.
Have a good day all

the coupons really do make a difference and of course, along with only buying what you need and being clever by getting offers or own brands you'll do really well:)

Hi missy they do make a difference, I have enough coffee, teabags, softner, washing up liquid, washing powder, dishwasher tablets for a good few months. Oh yes and lynx and toothpaste. I did a few shops over the last couple of days and have spent another £29.16, considering I don't need anything
how am I spending all the time. But they are on offers plus coupons as well. I have enough meals for next week, might just get some mince.
Lost 2lb this week, which doesn't help when I am supposed to stay on target now. So we are all having a chippy tonight

I have just updated my sig and realised I have £6.48 to last until the end of the month for groceries. That should cover chippy tonight and mince.May Grocery Challenge - £280.26/£250 (includes all food, toiletries and takeaway's for a family of four)0

Finished this months grocery shop today and the total spend for this month is £280.26. More than the £250 challenge I gave myself, but with this I stocked up on quite a few things, plus it included takeaways. Next month I will try to get closer to the target of £250.
Having a lazy day today as we went to a wedding party last night and the older we have got the longer it takes to get over these nights out. Also glad of the bank holiday tomorrow.May Grocery Challenge - £280.26/£250 (includes all food, toiletries and takeaway's for a family of four)0 -

Thanks missy it was a lovely weekend. I have been busy the last week and haven't been keeping a tab on my grocery spend, so I must get together the receipts and work out how much has been spent. I did have a bargain on the weekend at our local market, I paid £30 for enough meat to last us for the whole month. We had a pork dinner Sunday, chicken and chips tonight and I have planned a chicken fried rice (slimming world style of course).
It is my last week in my current job, so I am sad, but also looking forward to the future. The travel cost will be less as I can ride a bike instead of taking the car every day, plus I will get fitter. I will also be working less hours one day a week, so can either relax or catch up on things that need doing. And of course the salary is a bit more than I get at the moment. We are off for a meal later in the week so everyone can say their goodbyes.May Grocery Challenge - £280.26/£250 (includes all food, toiletries and takeaway's for a family of four)0
