Welcome Pennywise, thanks for stopping by and your welcome to bob by any time.

Went to Mr T's earlier and picked up a few things, used my £15 DTD voucher and hopefully should get another back for about £5, plus I have a £10 one to use, but will leave that until May as I think I may have logged about 10 receipts now. We are off out to the beach tomorrow with friends, not an expensive day, will get chips while we are there.

The beach sounds wonderful. Good weather helps to occupy my family and they want to spend less. Long may it last - although I doubt it will stay for much longer.

Welcome lemmings1986 I will pop by and read your diary too, it does help to keep one and we can see how far we have come. Any tips would be very much appreciated thanks. And welcome to you too keggie its lovely to have you on board, long may this weather continue, a bit of rain over night will be fine ;)

We had a lovely day at the beach, did buy chips and icecream, but managed to find a free place to park, otherwise that would have been an extra £4.

Put a load of washing on when I got home and it's now on the line. It is so nice to have an empty washing basket.

Went out for the day with my brother, another beautiful day. Didn't spend too much, the car park was £3.50 which couldn't be avoided. My brother supplied the picnic and I bought the icecreams, so no more than £10 spent on today's day out.

I will probably spend the day at home tomorrow and catch up with some things on my list. Also will try to have a no spend day

Spent the day at home today, did manage to make a start on cleaning the windows and started some ironing, but I want to get more done before I cross them off the list. I did get the mr muscle oven cleaner out and put it next to the cooker, but that is as far as it went :( (not sure if I really want to start on that one.

Another beach day tomorrow, probably get chips out again. Can't see me losing any weight this week, but as I reached my target last week, I can afford to go 3lb up or down without paying :T

Bit gutted today, just as I was getting into this DTD at Mr T's it has now ended. Never mind enjoyed it for a bit, but need something else to focus on now, to start with I will sign up for the grocery challenge for May.

Also managed to get all the ironing done last night :D

I am off work for 10 days now and even though we are going to have a few days out and enjoy the weather, I also want to get a few things done that I never seem to find time to do. These are:

1.[STRIKE] Sort out the pile of paperwork[/STRIKE].
    2. [STRIKE]Clean the oven [/STRIKE]
    3. Clean the windows.
    4. Sort out the downstairs WC/storage room.
    5. [STRIKE]Shred/Burn unwanted paperwork[/STRIKE].
    6. Clean the car.
    7. [STRIKE]Make a start on the ironing[/STRIKE].
    8. [STRIKE]Sort out my handbag[/STRIKE].

Just finished cleaning the oven, wasn't as bad as I thought, used mr muscle and I didn't need to do much scrubbing myself. Looks much better now.

I can't believe my 10 days off is nearly over, but managed to get a few things done on my list, also had a nice few days out. Might even be able to save a little this week as I would love to put something by for emergencies.

We are off out for a few drinks tonight, off now to pamper myself and take my time getting ready :D

Went down our local market this morning to get some fruit and veg, took £10 with me thinking that would be enough. However, the man on the meat counter was selling a large piece of pork for £5 which would have cost about £15 in Mr T's so I bought it and only had £5 left for fruit and veg, so had to leave out a few things that I wanted. The pork will be enough for 4 of us to have a cooked lunch today and then use the rest for sweet and sour pork tomorrow. I would usually make the sauce but managed to pick up a jar of homepride sweet and sour sauce for 10p today whilst shopping at Mr T's after the market.

So I have started the grocery challenge and have spent £59.78 so far this month.

The plan for meals this week is:

    Sunday - Pork cooked dinner
Monday - Sweet and sour pork with rice
Tuesday - Lasagne with roasted sweet potato
Wednesday - Chilli con carne with rice
Thursday - Baked potato with cheese and beans
    Friday - Special fried rice
    Saturday - Takeaway :D

All of the menu is slimming world recipies except for the sweet and sour pork.

I should also get about £7 back from Mr T in a voucher as quite a bit of my shopping would have been cheaper in Asda.

I can't believe the 10 days are over :( and I am back to work tomorrow, it will be difficult to get up at 7am, not my usual time over the last 10 days.

We made some cakes today, so no need to buy any when I pop into the supermarket tomorrow. I had nearly £8 back in a RTD voucher and have 2 others to print off in work tomorrow as I don't have a printer at home. I will also take advantage of a few coupon offers and print them off, so hoping to get a couple of very low shops done tomorrow after work.

I have been enjoying a few of the money saving programmes I have caught up on this week including 'make do or mend' and 'extreme couponing'. Hopefully some of the tips will rub off on us and help in our quest to cut back and start saving :j

Well work wasn't too bad today, managed to get quite a bit done. On the way home I went into the supermarket to use some of my vouchers, managed to get £21.52 worth of shopping for £6.90 :T and on all things I will use, no point in stocking up on things I don't need. Also I should get about £2.50 in an RTD voucher back.

I was a dissapointed as Mr T didn't have any of the finish starter packs left as I have 2 £5 vouchers for those. I might have to go to Asdas for those as I don't want to lose out.

Lasagne is in the oven, time to look for some more deals.

    Have a good evening :D
