Going to Peru to learn Spanish, there is a possibility I might need to borrow alittle

Says it all really when comblined with the title change, "snobbish youngster desires holiday in exotic location(thinly disguised as language training), hasnt got enough cash but unwilling to accept good advice."Don't want to be in a tourist resort in Spain tbh (wouldn't like the people who go there) plus too hot for me over there in the summer. Winter and altitude in Peru is much better.

Get another job ? Do not borrow money to go on holiday, you will regret it.
Don't know how old you are,or what you are currently earning, but dont go down this route.

Can anyone lend me a few quid please, I want to go to Hedonism.
I know I can learn it round the back of the Nightclub on a Friday night but it's not quite the same.

Where in Peru are you going to as my son has a girlfriend in Peru and has lived and worked there over the years. It might be an idea to do a TEFAL type of course as when my son was in Lima he was teaching English to Peruvian business men so earning whilst learning.
PM me if you need any more info and I will speak to my son.
Thanks but I looked into TEFAL courses and they are the same cost roughly in South America as in the UK plus there was no guarantee of a job at the end of it. Also decided that working full time and learning probably wouldn't work for me so I save £1000 by not doing the course plus £300-£400 living expenses on the month doing the course and this pays for 2-3 months of solidly learning spanish. I will be going to Cusco to start as there are tourism jobs there so I can get a part time job to supplement my savings.0 -

Lol I find your presumptions hilarious without even a partial grasp of the situation. I want to learn spanish but only work well in a full time learning environment eg I have tried using books and cds etc but no joy, not that kind of mind hence needing immersion in another culture and 3-4 hours Spanish lessons everyday. This is not a holiday at all as I intend to also work part time to supplement my savings. Don't be so arrogant and naive to presume that every person who wishes to spend time abroad doesn't have more of a motive than fun (as if fun is a bad idea anyways). I did the travel the world thing 2 years ago so that is not what I am there for.0 -

True I would much prefer Argentina or Chile yet finances dictate somewhere cheaper hence Peru e.g. actual financial responsibility.0 -
I think quite a lot of people speak spanish in .... Spain.0

No kidding I thought they spoke Portuguese /s. The cost of learning Spanish in Spain is almost as expensive as it is here with similar living expenses. 6 months in Peru learning Spanish full time all in max £4000 in Spain try roughly £8-10K. Hard choice. Plus Spain is too hot for me anyway.0
