Going to Peru to learn Spanish, there is a possibility I might need to borrow alittle
Looking into interest free overdrafts but apart from that what would be the cheapest way to borrow if I needed to up to £2000 in a way I could pay it off before any charges inccurred.
Thinking about cash advances on a interest free credit card but this will cost 3% or more. Any catches with this?
Only ever had one bank account and credit card before so Credit Score should be ok.
Thanks
EDIT: Title changed for clarity

Put off the travelling and save up?0

First, a bit of advice you probably don't want to hear... if you can't afford to go on holiday, don't go on holiday. You will come back to mounting debt, and it makes things much, much worse coming home.
Cash advances are likely to accrue interest from day 1, if you must borrow, try parents first.0 -

Geez you guys really know how to not be helpful.
I am going to Peru to learn Spanish Full Time for 6 months so I suppose travelling is a bad title. I think I will have the money (will be doing more work etc) but would like to have a contingency if I don't quite make enough (already selling anything of value I own etc etc). I already have the date set for leaving but I am just covering my bases. Also intend to work there but don't want to have a month left on school paid and no money if things don't go as planned.
Please don't assume people are asking a question as if they don't know that money doesn't grow on trees. A partial explanation of circumstances doesn't mean the person doesn't want their original questions answered.0 -
Why not apply for credit cards which you can use over there, then don't use them (assuming you do manage to save up and work there)?0
