Im useing a programe called ulead cool 3d to make a logo for a webby
im useing this cos I can work it, as oposed to getting a new program and having to learn it.
anyway its actually for doing funky animated graphics for videos but it also exports stills, jpeg bmap.
so i make one, then crop bits off it with paint, but all the sheen dissapears and it looks proper pants.... it goes a bit blurry.
Anyone any ideas?
would screen shots help my explanation at all?

Ignore the fact their different logos.
The 1st pic is after ive cropped and saved it the second one (a printscreen from cool 3d) is much clearer
I know theres not much difference but its enough to be anoying
The shiney bits and generall sharpness in the second one are missing

Do a google search for a free graphics program, or photo resizer (make sure it crops too). You'll only have to learn enough about the program to crop your logo.
If you have MS office then it has a picture manager that crops photos very well.0 -
Just do all of the work in Cool 3d and do not use Paint. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

Is it possible to "drag" round the bit you want, then copy it and paste it into a new document?0

Just a thought instead of saving the file as a *.Jpg try saving as a *.gif had this problem a couple of months back and it worked for me..If it doesn't fit, force it; if it breaks, it needed replacement anywaySarcasm helps keep you from telling people what you really think of them
