  • Hi everyone...thanks for the welcome back.

Got payslip yesterday and we are being paid our bonus on Thursday too...more pennies for the pot!

Need to have a review of what I've spent on food this month (not very much!) and see what needs to get transferred to the pot.

Still a bit of charity stuff to get done before the weekend (then I'm having a charity break till 07 Jan).

    - Accounts are in the process of being completed - popping to see the accountant on the way home tonight to iron out anomolies.
    - Got to pop to see one employee as I have a form I've completed for him for the council tax people (that's tonight too).
    - Once I have the accounts, I can plug the figures into the bid I'm completing, print out the final docs, tweak a job description and that can also be sent.
    - Need to file the accounts online with companies house.

Sounds like alot, but its not really and I want everything completed by Friday.

    - Last night, went out with DH as I probably will hardly see him for the rest of the week. Went to see Skyfall - excellent!
    - Tonight we are out for a freinds birthday - only popping down for a drink as DH isn't very well.
    - Tomorrow, DH is out with friends and I'm meeting up with a friend of our family friend who passed away. Start wrapping when I get back (won't be a late one and DH is out of the way so going to wrap his pressies).
    - Friday (break up from work) and going out with a friend for a curry and swap presents. Hoping that I will be finishing early on Friday and be able to do some wrapping in the afternoon. Inbetween partying at GGs.
    - Saturday - quick swish round the house, then go up to mum's and clean her fridge out (its awful - won't go into detail). More wrapping.
    - Sunday - going to get the christmas food shopping with my two best mates - we always do it together, have a giggle - then grab a burger afterwards as a treat! Try to finish wrapping.

Glad I've had the rest as I was really burnt out - ready to hit everything head on now.

Hope everyone is well...still catching up with diaries.

  • Wow MCI look at you go after your break! Meanwhile the rest of us are seriously flagging!

Just determined to get done what has to get done so I can collapse next week.

Charity stuff left to do - job description tweak and post bid and file accounts online with comapanies house - on the home stretch with this now.

Payday today and need to jig some money about - got my bonus too which I'm going to transfer out of my current account and decide exactly how its going to be divided up later.

£300 to be transferred to the deposit fund at the moment. When I get a chance to sit down and work things out (prob day after boxing day when DH is at work for the day) there should be some more channeled in.

Going to take £20 of my M&S vouchers shopping with me tomorrow afternoon so I can pick up some nice bits for us for over the festive period (DH only at work one day). Was going to do a Herr A shop on the way home, but I've decided to leave it and see what I can get from M&S.

Couple more pressies to get and just got to pop to the bank tomorrow and get cash out for my cousins' kids fro christmas as we are taking the easy way out this year.

Better get back to work - still catching up with diaries.

Hope everyone's preparations are going well.

  • Hi - feel like I've been AWOL!

Had no time to post over the last couple of days, but the good news is that most of the chores have been done now.

Went and did the shopping yesterday and feel much better for getting it out the way. Wrapping is the task for today.

Final bill yesterday came to £112 after taking off all my vouchers and savings stamps. And £38 is non food shopping, another £10 for odd bits of presents, so only £66 on food really and some of that is Januarys shop, not just Christmas stuff, so really plased with that.

Dh did the shop at Herr A yesterday and that came in at £14.

Hoping tomorrow will be a calmish day after picking up turkey and prepping veg for MIL and looking forward to having my Christmas Dinner with MIL etc...

Boxing Day I am going on strike - need to rest my elbow as it appears I have stretched the ligaments and its quite painful to pick up heavy things (this has happened in the last month, but I have now had some advice off a physio).

Hope everyone is well and if I don't get on here again before Christmas - I wish you all peace and blessings for the festive season - and most of all have a great time.

    Lots of Love
