2 weeks tomorrow KC
Excited, but nervous that we won't be ready - still alot of work to be done.
DH and I often need a deadline like this to kick us into getting things done - it's good, but also a little stressful.

I am really pleased with the progress we have made. Again, not finished but some serious re-arranging and tidying.
Couple more things for the charity shop and a few more cardboard boxes to be cut down to take to the tip. All placed in the conservatory out the way till Saturday.
Dinner last night was delicious (if a little late) and we have leftover lamb in the freezer to make another meal.
DW on this morning - so will be going back to clean dishes :j (still can't believe how excited I am about the dishwasher).
Shopping to be done on the way home - Herr A and need to pop into Mr T to pick up a present for my God-daughter (and use my last 100 points voucher which expires today).
Can't believe how the time is flying by! Still so much to do. I have brought all the post that's been lying around in the porch to work today for me to sort at lunchtime - need to make good use of this time. DH will be cleaning the porch at the weekend - so this helps him to get ahead.
Need to meal plan for the next two weeks on the lead up to my guest arriving - (I already know what I am cooking that weekend) - I need to clear room in the freezer, so meals will be mainly based round it's contents (with the exception of tonight as I forgot to get the chicken out, so will buy something later for tea from the shops).
Hope everyone is well and looking forward to the weekend.

Dishwashers *are* exciting
I was nearly as excited about my dishwasher as I was about retiring - that should say something

I must say that I am feeling the benefits of sorting the house out, decluttering and going through paperwork.
I feel that my life is starting to clear and a path is starting to appear. I think it might be related - but ever since I have been on this mission (which started before we moved) my focus has been slowly improving. In recent weeks with the big rush to get loads done, when I actually pause for breath, I feel a weight gradually lifting and the mist dispersing - am I going mad or is there a theory that a decluttered home helps towards a decluttered and more focused mind??
Sorted the porch paperwork at lunchtime yesterday and my mini target for today is to put all the cards I have found (and bought) into a pretty box - all in one place and easy to find. Only a small target today as I have yoga later. Managed to get all my shopping done last night so will have about an hour spare before going to my class.
Lots to do tomorrow - but going to try to be a little more targeted now we are running out of time and I have got to start cleaning.
Excited about our progress though and how it is making me feel.

Well, what a weekend that was!!!
I am so shattered and glad to get back to work to sit down (though for no other reason!)
On Saturday we cleared the conservatory - DH went to the tip and I went to the charity shop (stopped off at my mum's and collected the stuff from there too).
Then as DH wasn't feeling very well, he took himself out and I emptied and cleaned the conservatory - getting the grease off the window from cooking, cleaning down all the PVC and cleaning the floor. The chairs are now back in there with the throws on and I managed to hoover up half a cat from the rocking chair cushions :rotfl:
I then turned my attention to the study and I consolidated a few boxes and threw some more stuff out and we now have a clear space on the floor!
Went out with school friends on Saturday night and had a couple of well deserved glasses of vino and some fantastic food!
Sunday came and went - in a blur of cleaning! DH concentrated on the porch and I cleaned, dusted and waxed our furniture in the dining room. We then went shopping and I managed to get a table cloth and runners big enough for our huge dining room table, a lamp for the conservatory and a couple of bits for the kitchen.
We treated ourselves to a cup of tea and a cake whilst we were out - well deserved as we worked so hard.
We then went back to cleaning.
Really pleased with what we achieved - but didn't even touch the paperwork - that will be either later (if charity meeting is cancelled) or Wednesday.
So, we spent a little, but also got some money back by returning a couple of things (still a couple more to go back).
Charity meeting tonight (maybe) and I have done the minutes, done the wages and sorted a warranty claim on our strimmer. Phew!
Hope everyone has a great week.

List Update 24/10/2016
October:
Spending Money:
- Birthday Cards: We have loads of birthdays between now and the end of the year, so need to make a list and go and buy them all in one go. List done - cards to be purchased tomorrow - all 18 of them !!!! 10 cards purchased; rest to be got this week - still to be done
- Birthday Presents: Same as above, but fewer to buy - probably not in one go - but need to make a list and get buying. Been looking, but not bought anything yet same same
- Purchase new work clothes and one or two nice tops for occasions. Not anything to do with work - but ordered a pair of Jeans in the N3xt sale same
- Look into some self employed stuff. On-going same
- Buy one or two blow up beds. (will become clear further down the list) Will be checking the bed we have found this weekend coming - then I will see what I will need to purchase not done yet - hopefully this week some time still to be done
Making Money:
-e-bay: Been putting it off long enough - need to target a few items to put on before the end of the year. same; but more stuff put into boxes ready for ebaying
-FB Selling: Fire surround needs to go (it's monsterous!) - need to get pics of DH and stick it on FB locally - need the money and need it out of the way. Fire Surround has been put on the local FB Selling sites - fingers crossed - still on-going with a couple of enquires 10/10 should be sold tonight 17/10should be tomorrow 25/10
- Look into some self employed stuff same
Getting the house sorted (have friends coming to stay first weekend in November so need to get loads done).
- Finish sorting kitchen stuff (if it's not finished by the time I start this list - hopefully this part will all be done) everything is back in the cupboards - just need the kitchen finishing so I can put things on the surfaces In progress ready to happen tonight!just painting to be done and radiator to be fitted
- Keep chipping away at decluttering and organising the study on the evenings and weekends - gradual process; can't do too much in one go. Had a huge tidy up over the weekend - DH built the new unit, but I think it has just highlighted how much more carp I have to get rid of - looking much better now though sorted a couple more boxes and DH has put a shelf up for me looking good - nearly done
- Tidy Spare Room, check blow up bed next weekend job started, but nowhere near finished getting there - not too much to be done
- Sort out attic room: there are loads of empty boxes, some packing materials and some odd boxes of bits and bobs from the move (to be sorted when all the kitchen stuff is back where it belongs) going to have a cardboard box cull this week part done attic is finished apart from hoovering and making up the bed - considerably less cardboard in the house
Targeted Jobs:
- Garden: Get bed planted up/lawns done 2nd October - weather dependant Weather was lovely - main planting done, just heathers and bulbs to go in same
- Charity paperwork sort out and filing 8th/9th October Part done, got to carry on in the evenings 2 boxes to go same

- Deep clean house in preparation for friends coming to stay. 22nd/23rd October washed 4 throws at the weekend as a start dining room, conservatory, attic - done

Gift Aid Declaration - done
Couple more things to do for the Charity - but they will have to wait until tomorrow.
Moved £500 to the regular saver.
Nothing really done last night to the house. I cooked dinner and caught up with Saturday's Strictly when I got home.
Currently waiting for my friend to get back to me about the fire surround - need time and address...I hope it will go today, I've arranged to have the charity van this evening so we can deliver.
The plan is to continue cleaning through tonight after I have returned a couple of items and popped to the shop for bread (and after taking surround - fingers crossed).
Got a few things to order this week.
- curtains and cushions
- kettle and toaster
- DH has already ordered a new loo seat for us :rotfl:
DH wants us to do the decorating at the weekend - so I will be carrying on with my clearing and cleaning in the mean time.
Turkey Stroganoff with Jacket Potatoes for tea tonight - quick and easy.
