Trudij that foal is so gorgeous, good luck with Red's scan.
  • Hi all. Don't get to read and post as much as I'd like but I'm still here. Have been good and not bought any ins. Some free ones though but that's ok as very mse. Lots of outs so I'm getting there slowly. Just started Clinique dramatically different moisturiser but not sure how moisturizing it is. Skin looked very dull the other day but have been told it takes some getting used to. Anybody else use it?

When I left home my entire worldly possessions fitted easily in a single box on the back seat of the car next to me.

So, once I'd reached the point where I had a reasonable disposable income I like to exercise it buying nice things I don't really and truly need! I have a true horror of running out. :o[/QUOTE]

It was a bit like this for me too, we weren't allowed to use the sink in the bathroom, everything had to be done in the kitchen, a bath once a week, no shower, and we didn't have bubble bath, we used fairy liquid, all my friends used to have a bottle of matey on the bath and I was so jealous. Hardly had any clothes, lots were homemade, never owned a dress till I could afford my own stuff. We weren't poor either, Mum just like the idea that we were. To this day she can't see what an impact it had on me and my sister, funnily enough we both left home in our teens.

I don't really count toothpaste in with the toiletries as I see it as more of a health product, but I picked up my son's discarded 'empty' Aquafresh and decided to see how much more I could squeeze out.
It lasted a week, and it really did look reasonably empty too.

A UU! The Next Lime, Cinnamon and Ginger Body Butter (aka cream). Came in a 250 ml tube. Cut it open today and there was loads inside, I am VERY moisturised. :D

WIBA? Can't, it's discontinued, which shows how long I've had it - nearly 2 years. TBH, I wouldn't buy it, although it had a pleasant fragrance it was nothing special - certainly not a body 'butter' either. However, it was a gift from a grateful learner, it was nice to use it and be reminded of that.
The Nivea is next- that's a light body lotion that was a gift from my daughter, so will probably alternate with Dove and MS body butters.

We were poor, relatively speaking, but I never, ever realised as a child as my Mum was such a fantastic manager. Matey came along too late for me, but I did have bath toys. One bath a week yes, but a thorough wash each morning and evening at the bathroom sink.
I did leave home at 18, but my sister was 26 and my brother 29 before they got round to it.
I'm truly sorry your experience was so different, Viv. There is a word for it ...

I've mentioned OH's bubble bath useage before - this week he used an entire box of Radox Moistur Soak Bath Salts in 4 baths  I've told him I'm not buying anymore bubbles until what we have is used up.

Wow, he still ploughs through that stuff, doesn't he? My ex flatmate has used up one of his big bottles of manly bubbles in six baths, but he needs to work to catch up on your bloke!

Useful for me though, since it means I have a PCRP/UU to report - Molton Brown bath soak. It was part of a gift set I have been saving, and frankly, it wasn't worth the wait! Very masculine scent, so I gave it to the boy to use up. WNBA!

I also used up the MB conditioner (WNBA, nice, but very expensive for what it is) and a Clarins gift-size moisturiser. (WIBA? Not until I've used up the other 100 bottles/tubes I have!

Welcome to all the newbies, and best wishes for the week everybody!

I'm off work today - stupidly bad bout of sciatica going on here. :(

3 UU- FCUK Signature Scrub. WNBA, not scrubby enough for me. I'm very fussy about scrubs. I suppose thats why I have so many, always trying to find one that's "just right".

-FCUK Signature Body Butter. WBA, its lovely. It smells divine, is very moisturising without being greasy. And it actually looks like real butter!!

-Batiste Dry Shampoo mini in Original. WBA, in fact WILL buy again. I have 2 little cans of the Blush to use first then I'm on the look out for a good deal on this stuff.
