No Buying Toiletries in March Challenge

I love the soap and glory pic but am curious, you said you threw everything out in September, but why declutter like that just to replace it all so quickly?
And 60 deodorants:rotfl:
About the hair dye I think the colour your hair is to start with will hugely affect the end result. I have dark hair and no longer use home dye since I had to get the colour stripped out at the hairdressers but from looking at other peoples hair I think blondes seem to do better with the home dye kits. Dark colours are more unpredictable.
Mingle- that's crazy about the socks, I think you'll just have to buy another one. She should sell them in pairs even if she has to double the price.Total debt 11/1/2011 €5350.65Total debt 12/12/12 €3222.31CrazyClothesChallenge 2013 #006 €34.08/€5000 -

I chucked out absolutely everything I owned pretty much! Clothes, shoes, toiletries, junk... all but 10 boxes of my 'stuff' (books, photos, dvds etc), 2 bags of clothes and 4 pairs of shoes. Even threw out my bed, wardrobes and carpet!:o I had no intention of replacing so quickly but I got a bit addicted to b**ts over christmas/new year:rotfl: And while it was in bags on the floor because I didn't have shelves up to get it out I couldn't see just how much I had gathered, so just kept buying more... and more... and more....:rotfl:
The current S&G collection started with the b**ts OOTW before christmas:o:j0 -

celebrate it really does smell divine doesn't it? I think you should sell your 97, and just buy another Very Irresistible (the new new one)
i know i should, my sis and mum love that one too, problem is i have so many fragrances and and i don't know what any of them smell like except the only one i've opened-gucci rush, mmm divine. I think i'll pop to boots and test a few so i can decide which ones to keep
maybe i'll get round to posting my list so you guys could recommend?Sorry to :rotfl:@celebrate but you have 97 bottles of perfume but none of your favourite one

i'm kinda new as well, don't worry you are in safe hands, these guys have totally sorted me out, 5 boxes going back to lloyds (i have to stop dipping in them and taking stuff back out though, darned courier didn't turn up yesterday, 2 more days of torture!)
yo're stash is great I am so jealous, you sound just like me. I pack everything away in drawers and the attic and forget exactly how much i've got. I
Can i ask when you bought the stuff did you have the intention of buying for yourself or as gifts?
Kaz a woman of many talents-sewing/unblocking drains/ microwave destruction/furniture shopping!!!
Pls can you give me some sewing tips?? my 9year old has had to learn how to sew a button on her shirt because her mum is so useless!
ps kaz when you let your sis choose from your stash did you tell her how many items she could have or did you just show her selective things? My stash is so massive my sis would take more than just 2 things I'm sure. Same with my mum. I have unfortunately developed a bit of a reputation for stashing! lol!!
if anyone wants me i'm on the tesco thread

It's true that you do appreciate stuff when you aren't hoarding it as badly.
Now then....you have plenty of body lotions but you are thinking body butter is ok to buy......are we splitting hairs here...?? :rotfl:
Um, is it just me who thinks of them as being very different? Oooh.... For me, lotions are for lighter, warmer days, days when I feel that my skin is in good nick, they moisturise but give a fresh feeling too. Body butters are for colder days, days when you feel as if you want a warm layer next to your skin, to cosset and protect you. Sometimes it's a lotion day, sometimes it's a butter day.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -

Yes, a lot of the stuff on my 'other' list was bought with the intention of being gifts for throughout the year, then they found their way on to my shelves :rotfl::oi think i might just be able to beat that!
hangs head in shame
I could have before my clear out :rotfl: I had a whole bin bag full of half empty ones when I cleared my shelves & bags out :rotfl::eek: I always end up using the same 2/3 body sprays and 2 deodrants and the others just sit there building up when I go to the shop and think "Oooh I fancy a change this week..." and chuck 6 different ones in my basket and end up using the same as I was using before :rotfl:
God, I wish I had joined this months ago. I dread to think how much i've wasted on unnecessary toiletries:rotfl:
At least I won't need any body creams until my mid 70s though (23 now...):rotfl::j0
