Good News! Just used up a deep hair conditioner, avon spa that i'd had for about 7 years. WIBA? I'm not sure it's any better than normal conditioner... I have straight sleek thick hair so a specialist product doesn't really help.

I can see the bottom of my planet spa paraffin hand and foot treatment, my sanctuary zibu salt scrub and body butter, so that's progress :)

How do you use this? I've got as tub and dont know what I'm meant to do with it. It says warm towels, but wont that ruin them?

I bought a pair of moisture socks of ebay ( or so I thought) and when the order came there was ONE SOCK! I emailed the seller and they said that was the listing. Who sells single, unused socks really?!

One sock???????? lol I've only ever seen them packaged in twos.....most bizarre :rotfl::rotfl: Annoying though

I'm off to list... See you all in a week or two :rotfl:

Pudsey- I just whack it on and put moisture gloves on. Occasionally I then put my hand down the cover of a hot water bottle for a minute just to activate it. It works well with the gloves and it's not too sticky- it's definitely a treatment rather than a bog standard hand cream though.

This is the ebay listing. I know it says "one sock" but I presumed it meant 1 pair because...socks come in pairs and last time I checked I had two feet. This was before the new budget though, so everything could have changed ;)

An amputee who hopes that people don't read carefully? But seriously, how very annoying for you, Mingle.

Just watched the trailer for 'Super Scrimpers' on Ch. 4 on Wednesday. Thirty years too late for my Mum to have starred, sadly but I bet there's very little on there that she didn't know about Old Style saving. :D

Following the Clairol Foam my hair is now rather dry and not pleasant to touch, (it's baby-fine and tends to be a little greasy normally, if anything) so I have a hair treatment UU. It's a few years old, :o a Superdrug Naturals Henna and Sweet Chestnut intensive conditioner for brunettes.

WIBA? My hair has never really needed intensive conditioning up to now, I bought it as I thought the henna in the treatment might help with colour fade, which is a bit ironic, given that I've just gone near black instead of medium brown. So possibly not, but iirc it was incredibly good value for money.

I think I'll ring the Careline for Clairol on Monday as I'm more annoyed about the foam debacle when I reflect on it, I had a feeling it would look dark, but medium brown should not look brown/black. Neither should hair be in poor condition following use when it wasn't before. It wasn't fit for purpose, I've had dyes look darker than expected but this????

If you bought a tin of light pink paint and it went on the walls a glaring fuschia, you'd have every right to complain. Ok, I didn't buy it, but I obtained it with certain expectations, which were not met.

Enough moaning. Snipped open a tube of Beauty Formulas cream for Extra Dry skin that I was using as foot cream to find a huge amount clinging to the tube interior, so no UU report from that for at least a week.

In another spirit of experimentation I tried a Boots Lavender hand lotion as body lotion and got the identical result to the body lotion from the same gift set, it rubbed in but left a gritty feeling on the skin. It left the same feeling on my hands, so there must have been some deterioration.

I'm not binning it, it can replace the Beauty Formulas on the feet. Whilst I don't paint my toe nails - they basically don't exist apart from on my big toes - my feet are in the best nick they've been for years. No painful hard skin or calluses in sight. And all this without resorting to cutting or rasping.
Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.

    Thanks for the advice.

Just looked at the buyers for the socks and there's lots that have bought 1 or 3 - so lots that'll have had the same "surprise"!! :rotfl:

hi and welcome, that's a lovely list.
Just one question, did you buy all 18 boxes of wax strips before you tried one or did you get 17 after you decided never to do it again? Nothing implied just wondering :)
i know i've got stuff on my list that i bought because i thought i should use them but then didn't.

I got about 6 one day, went back the next day and got the rest because I thought i'd use them and they were on offer (£1.24 a box) but they're rubbish:rotfl:
