Maybe it wasnt wise to show us that :D there's some gorgeous colours there!

I thought the same thing, how well do OPI varnishes go on? All mine are Avon ones and I don't know if it's the polish or just my lack of being able to apply varnish properly :rotfl:

Pudsey- I just whack it on and put moisture gloves on. Occasionally I then put my hand down the cover of a hot water bottle for a minute just to activate it. It works well with the gloves and it's not too sticky- it's definitely a treatment rather than a bog standard hand cream though.

This is the ebay listing. I know it says "one sock" but I presumed it meant 1 pair because...socks come in pairs and last time I checked I had two feet. This was before the new budget though, so everything could have changed ;)

This is her returns policy so I would try and see if you can return it. After all who moisturises with only one sock!?!

E*sensual offers a 14 day money back guarantee on all products
(excluding items with a gusset due to health and safety).
A full refund will be offered on all returned goods as long as they are in their original,
unused condition (including tags and packaging).
Please note the customer will have to pay for their delivery expense when they return the goods.
We are also more than happy to arrange replacements for faulty items.
your return postage will be refunded if an item is found to be faulty.

  • Think I'll have to opt out of this challenge this month. I've bought a few bits in Tesco. And I had a facial and was told I have extremely sensitive skin. Today I bought some Dermalogica stuff, loads of people rave about it. I'm still trying to use stuff up before I buy anything unnecessary but I'm not going to persevere with things that irritate me or are basically no good. And I bought some expensive hair mousse. Oops. Better stop there!

I have two outs. It was my sisters birthday on the 6th and she's down this evening from Reading. I was going to get her some gifts out but I decided to let her go shopping in the stash for her gifts. She has chosen a large tub of sanctuary body souffle and a tube of No7 blissful body wash (can you tell how generous I am now, my two most wanted to use items and I've let her have them! Although there are more of each in stash.).
Looking forward to getting the BS order soon...... Happy weekend everyone.

ah, you are a good sister :A - I often buy 2 of everything - one for me and one for my sister or best friend, depending on what it is - and my bestie does the same...can't wait for our birthdays this year (which are close together) when we do the big exchanges!!!!!:T
I have to laugh at myself - having put in place a self-imposed rule that I will not spend any cash on toiletries (or obtain any more shampoo other than small freebies) this year, I'm stupidly excited over the thought of spending a £3 voucher in Superdrug...:rotfl:

I bought some feminine hygiene products today and a shower cleaning spray in addition to the free hair dye to qualify for the £3 voucher. The pads were on a discount too, which was jolly useful. :T

I should really be doing some work but I've just been taking a stroll round Superdrug's website, deciding how to maximise my tiny windfall. I know what I don't need - body lotion, body spray, shower gel, eye gel, anti-perspirant, shampoo, perfume, moisturiser or hand/foot cream - but anything else is fair game...

Leave in conditioner? Rinse out conditioner? Body polish? Moisturising soap? Body butter? Hand wash? What to choose...?

It reminds me of when I was first married and almost everything was expensive, with rampant inflation - I can still visualise some of the toiletries I had then, as I had so little and things were chosen with such care.

It's true that you do appreciate stuff when you aren't hoarding it as badly.

Now then....you have plenty of body lotions but you are thinking body butter is ok to buy......are we splitting hairs here...?? :rotfl:

That's a beutiful picture , brought a little tear to my eye :D I have seen boots with less s and g stock :P

do they even make the green body wash any more? I love love love the smell fo that, my friend bought me them once but they are long gone :(

I love soap and glory too have to ask what The firminator is like tho :)?

my fave product by soap and glory is the body butter , mmmmm yumm:T

    Perfectly put!!

KAZ - those cushions are lush - where did you get the material?

XOXO - I find I have to alternative between S&G products or they get too sickly for me!

And the one sock saga - sounds like a con to me - I hate ebay it's full of tricksters - sorry to anyone here who does it....I was stung on my first and last visit - I just love the Geordie Postman pat on youtube delivering Ebay items (it's a bit blue in case anyone looks for it!)

Rosemary - does your OH find lines aswell as holes!??

Still have my BS groupon - apparently there's a 30% off event instore this week - bet they won't take my groupon too but want to find out....?? Anyway, have found holding on this groupon has been a good way to stop me being tempted by their other online offers.
Less stuff, more life, love, laughter and cats!
Even if I'm on the shopping threads, it doesn't mean I'm buying! Sometimes it's good to just look and then hit the CLOSE button!

    - Barry M crackle nail polish :D I cant wait to use this, and use up my stash of nail varnishes quicker, so really a good IN :rotfl:

Another crackle convert :D I nicked my daughter's today as the Maybelline nail varnish that I thought was pale blue has a yellowish/green tinge to it in certain lights _pale_ I'm quite impressed with the result. I think the black crackle works best with pale colours.

I think the Avon ones are a bit hit and miss - I've bought some for my daughter in the past and when she opens them some seem a little too thick while others are too runny and go on streaky

Its a pity your ebay experience was negative. :( Luckily the wonderful ebayers I've come across greatly outnumber all the scum ones!

Incidentally, in the ten years (blimey has it been that long???) I've been selling/buying on ebay I've only had one negative - because there was a hole in the ballet cardigan I sold and they had to sew it!!! Obviously they didnt realise that the hole is meant to be there to put the waist belt through before tying! :rotfl::rotfl:

  • Wow, xoxo, that is an incredible stash! If you've gone off it, why not try ebaying it? You could make a tidy bit of cash. :D

    One unnecessary IN for me:
Poppy King No7 lipstick in power. I normally use Poppy King's Medieval lipstick, which is gorgeous but the princely sum of £20.50 and only available in space.nk (who have the most insane delivery charges of any shop I've ever used). So when I saw she was creating a diffusion line for No7, I had to have a look, and used my No7 voucher to get the lippie for £7.00. It is a very good dupe for Medieval, but not as moisturising.

Welcome xoxo. I've just popped in quickly from the Tesco's thread and when I saw this picture my initial reaction was oh wow, beautiful...I know I probably shouldn't feel that way but that's why we're all here isn't it? Will have to catch up with this thread when I'm not at work later next week.
