I once bought a coat in New Look that had been reduced to £5. It scanned through the till at £12.99, and when I showed the label to the shop assistant she got very annoyed at having to go and check the others to see that they'd all been reduced. She said that she couldn't believe what was on the label as I might have brought a pen with me and changed it myself ... Do people seriously do that?0

Yes they do! I have seen a few people do it when I worked at HOF... then again, with the prices there I can hardly blame them!0 -

And this is relevant to your cheap, tacky shoes, how exactly?0 -
Perhaps just that 1 pair were reduced because they looked like they had been tried on a lot IYKWIM.0

I worked in retail for a while at uni, and very often there will be a different ID code for items that look pretty much identical.
Incidentally, you have got really unlucky here - everytime I shop in the mens sale in new look i always get things cheaper than listed!
My OH bought a coat from new look last week that was £35 in the sale, took it to the till, £20. happy days.
Maybe they need to charge you and your law family more to give us the discounts lol

Just looked at the new look site and the shoes are now £15 (sale on) and this was not the case yesterday as i did check. So it looks as though they were stickered early by mistake in store and i reckon even the pairs that had the stickers on would have come up as full price. So the story about being different styles was probably a load of garbage as i didnt see the store price check/ scan the other pairs and now my size is not available boooooohooooo.

You seem to have missed the fact that lawyers and solicitors are the same thing. Indeed, there is no such role as lawyer in the English legal system! :rotfl:Gone ... or have I?0
