Bull Ring New look hilarious!!!!!!Not!!!!!

I tried to purchase a pair of shoes today in the bull ring store. They were on a stand that had Grabbit Now £15 along the whole shelf label bargain i thought and tried them on. They had little stickers inside also with the bargain price too. Then i selected another pair exactly the same but just looked less tried on iykwim but didnt have the stickers inside. Went upstairs to pay and was served eventually by "management" who said till price was £24.99 i said no they have £15 stickers in them downstairs. The sa picked up another pair with stickers and said no they are different on the sole(another sa said they were exactly the same too) i pointed out that she was comparing 2 sizes so they will look vaguley different (they were not) She insisted and wouldnt sell them to me so i asked for customer services number.( I told the lady she had best move allthe missleading ads, which she promptly started to do as i wanted to take a picture, admission of guilt??) I rang them and told the situation and they said they will get back to store then to me. Rang me approx 2 hrs later and strangely enough said exactly word for word the same excuse as in store, now unless she has the all seeing eye i dont see how she would be able to tell difference and even then as i said i honestly couldnt see any difference at all. Apparently though they had different names(the shoes) but i have to say that this was not apparent and even if this were true, the shoes were all a mixture of stickered and not and as i said looked exactly the same so this is missleading advertising as far as im concerned and im pretty annoyed argh argh argh

Last time I went in New Look I nearly passed out at the chemical stink of all those plastic shoes and handbags. I don't know if they had just unpacked a new delivery but I don't know how the staff stand it.

guilt or not retailers are allowed to make mistakes and refuse the sale at the tillThe Googlewhacker referance is to Dave Gorman and not to my opinion of the search engine!

Oh dear. What a shame you didn't get the shoes you wanted.
It's called Invitation To Treat. The shop has no obligation to sell you anything. At all.

I know my dh is a lawyer, sis in law a solicitor and dad is a judge and if thats what they had said i would be ok but it was hilarious i was actually laughing at one point, because it was like i said "the sky is blue" and she was saying "No its orange" ie she was so obviously incorrect about the fact that the shoes were the same it was laughable. I am annoyed at the fact she would not admit someone had made a mistake in displaying the merchandise incorrectly and instead treated me like a fool. But i do thank you for your responseGooglewhacker wrote: »guilt or not retailers are allowed to make mistakes and refuse the sale at the till

The shoes may have looked the same but may have had different bar codes - this happens a lot in retail... same style but new season lable means new bar code.
I think taking photos etc is a bit OTT though...:hello:0 -
sainsbury's tried this with me, but i stood there and argued and they gave it to me for the sticker price. their error, not like i stuck it myself.0

You got lucky, they would have been quite right to refuse but sometimes the goodwill prevails. The Googlewhacker referance is to Dave Gorman and not to my opinion of the search engine!
