Spent a bit of money yesterday (£50) and will spend a bit more tomorrow, but on the plus side have PAD £20 to Santander!!
Will call the banks tomorrow.
Additionally final fees will be done and dusted tomorrow meaning that any additional income can definitely go toward the cards.
Will attempt to pay off Santander OD with the dropped change I find but may be a long process (especially as I haven't found anything today). Also it's tempting to push that money toward the Lloyds (due to the huge interest etc) but psychologically it will be better and quicker for me to pay this one off.Debt at worst: £33000 (Feb 2011). Present debt: £25610 (Apr 2012)

Yeah I know. I know I should do that but it's just sooo tempting to pay off the overdraft first. The balance is lower and the bank is really close to work to do PAD's.
Thing is I could quite easily just transfer the money to the bad card once it's cleared from the account.Debt at worst: £33000 (Feb 2011). Present debt: £25610 (Apr 2012)

Closed the Halifax the other day in light of the new "+ base rate" rule. Called Lloyds to complain about the rise in APR on my old card only to be told "it hasn't been raised it's fluctuations due to variable APR". BS. Guy didn't know what he was talking about. Tried to tell me the APR hadn't been raised for over a year. 2% is a large jump too. Not sure what's going on with it but I let him know "I reject any changes - please close my account". So that's two accounts closed.
He also claimed he couldn't do anything about the APR on the other card, and let me know I have a present coming in the post re Lloyds now deciding they will be adding the base rate to the cards (I imagine all the banks will be doing this soon). As you can imagine I closed one account immediately, but have left the other one for the time being til I see the "changes" which of course will be "to my benefit". I am really getting sick of their tactics.
Also this month will be tight. Not looking forward to it. On the plus side all fees are paid up and don't need to worry about that anymore, rent, council tax, water, student loan, etc all paid up for June. I just need to find the cash for food, dentist, and the credit card bills. It'll be there it's just a question of moving things around.Debt at worst: £33000 (Feb 2011). That sounds very complicated Elmer, I'm glad my Lloyds account is closed!LBM Aug 09: £18,650.47 - Current: £12,854.93 (£5946.79)

I can't wait til I get the confirmation letters. Then I guess I'll just keep working on paying them off.Debt at worst: £33000 (Feb 2011). Present debt: £25610 (Apr 2012)

Thanks.:) Really wish it could be more though. I can't wait to get it all paid off though. Can't imagine what I was thinking giving these companies my money!!Debt at worst: £33000 (Feb 2011). Present debt: £25610 (Apr 2012)

Current debts as of late May 2011:
Credit card 1: APR 24.9% = £9500
Credit card 2: APR 6.95% = £7680 (some at 0% for 9 months ends Jan 2012) *CLOSED*
Credit card 3: APR 6.95%= £1230
Credit card 4: APR 0% for 9 months (ends Jan 2012) = 930 *CLOSED*
Total on CC's = £19340
Loan 1: £2900
Loan 2 (student loan): £8700
Overdraft: (APR 8%) £1470
EDIT: the debt is worse than I thought it was. After calling the student loan company the debt is actually 1.5 k more than I thought it was in Feb. This means despite paying a lot of the Lloyds bill off that my total debt is looking worse than it did in Feb. The accurate figure of debt is £32410. I will amend thing in my signature to show this.
Will have a few direct debits coming out of the account with the overdraft in the next few weeks. Anything that's left over will be going straight onto the Lloyds. Also will probably be closing the bad Lloyds account as well soon but I want to wait for the letter from them first.
I guess I'll keep the Barclays open for the time being.
Edit 2: Once CC1 has been paid up I will focus on CC4 next followed by the overdraft, then the other cards. I need money really so will have to look at other ways of earning extra income (second job maybe).
The debt is dropping extremely slowly at the moment so I definitely need some way to kick it up a gear.Debt at worst: £33000 (Feb 2011). Present debt: £25610 (Apr 2012)
