I often wonder what the hell I was thinking as well Elmer, in fact I can quite clearly recall telling myself that it didn't matter and I would pay it back one day. I just never contemplated what the actual cost to myself was, my only concern was whether I could afford the minimum payment.

I used to buy bottles of champagne to drink with my friends before going to the pub, all on the credit card - I'm probably still paying that off lol!

    I was sooooooooo bloody stupid!

Mine has mostly been day to day stuff and "emergencies". If I could go back in time now and redo things I would definitely do things differently, especially all those coffees....

Morning everyone. Nothing to report today. No money found (also not found any for a while). Despite this I do plan a PAD later on today once I can gather all my money together. Not quite sure how it will work out.
Keep forgetting to phone the student loan company for a more accurate amount that I owe. Been a bit distracted of late but I will have to try and remember tomorrow.

    Hi Elmer,

I often see money on the ground but am too embarrassed to pick it up, I guess for the sake of my debts I should get over it! Goal number 7 cut back on electric usage. I have seen in other posts people charging their mobiles (and anything else within reason) at work or are you already doing this?

Hey Moneymash, you should definitely pick the money up!! I already charge my phone at work but also have been cutting down on using dryers/ heating etc. I'm even considering taking showers at work! Saving the pennies to look after the pounds.:)

Some good goals there, especially the staying away from coffee shops - it's amazing how quickly that kind of thing adds up! Mine should be stay away from the sweet shop, everytime I walk by I end up spending £1, that could be £5 a week to debt!

Yeah I know but sometimes we need a treat! I guess it's the whole coffee experience for me, and not just the coffee. If I do fall into the trap of getting a coffee I usually downsize these days. Fortunately I have been pretty good of late.
All the £1's count. I worked out one year I spent at least £702 on coffee out. What a waste!!
