I don't have to worry about the Barclaycard anymore. I've paid the final fee off (which was about £4).
Left with one overdraft, one highstreet bank loan, one student loan and 3 credit cards left to pay off.
I am eyeballing one of the other credit cards to pay off completely with savings, but may just be worth waiting a month or so before I do that (I would still have savings if I do this but I am concerned for emergencies).
Additionally I have removed a lot of the direct debits from my overdraft account, which should make it easier to pay off. £1400 left to pay on it unfortunately.Debt at worst: £33000 (Feb 2011). Present debt: £25610 (Apr 2012)

Old Lloyds card is all paid off now. Sadly just received a 0% for 15 months offer on my other Lloyds card but don't really have a card to pay off with it! (I had taken a 9 month offer a few months ago!).
Ah well. Once the interest is paid off next month on the old Lloyds card will only have 2 credit cards, one loan, one student loan and one overdraft left to pay off! Slow and steady wins the race as they say.
I'll definitely be focussing on the overdraft (which is approximately £1500), and currently costing me £20 a month.Debt at worst: £33000 (Feb 2011). Present debt: £25610 (Apr 2012)

Interest on the old Lloyds card is paid off now, so I am free of another credit card totally!!!
That leaves 2 credit cards, one loan, one student loan and an overdraft left to pay off.

Hey Elmer,
Great to read another CC bites the dust and good riddance!!! It's good to see the number of debts go down isn't it. You can count the number of debts you have on one hand now
You are right about slow and steady wins the race, but oh how frustrating! I am willing away the days until my May pay day (lots of extra shifts this month, means more pay next month) when I can pay two debts off. One of the debts will be my overdraft, I think the overdraft is one of the hardest debts to get rid of, especially if you are still using the account. It's hard to leave money in an account and not spend it, at least when you pay other debts the money leaves your account and you aren't tempted to spend it!Debt-Free day 30th September 20140
