Goal 1: to increase the number of NSD's. Not much success here 3 days so far.
Goal 2: to try to increase income. Not really done.
Goal 3: reduce outgoings. Reduced shopping bill
Goal 4: not to be tempted by burger joints and coffee bars. Avoided burger bars but not coffee shops, but only been a few times this month so I guess that's positive
Goal 5: Look at the t&cs for the other credit cards and see if I can transfer some of the debt to them at a lower APR. COMPLETED
Goal 6: Daily spending diary. Must hunt round for a notepad and pencil.. So far 15 days kept and counting
Goal 7: Limit electric use. In process

Not doing too badly at the moment however got a takeaway (wasn't a burger bar but still...) last night and have had coffee out a few times this month already. However I am improving and will work on this.
Have started to slow stooze but am testing it with one card first so will wait a month or so to see if it has done something I don't want it to do!!
Debt at worst: £33000 (Feb 2011). Present debt: £25610 (Apr 2012)
    Lloyds old (22.4%) = 560 (Dec 2012)

[STRIKE]Lose at least one lb per week[/STRIKE]. Done
Keep up with my budget for the "pay a debt in 100 days" challenge, which means paying £75 per week - and do it without increasing my spend on the other cards Not quite there. I've fallen slightly behind, but hopefully I can still hit my final target
[STRIKE]Run at least 3 times per week, and increase the distance of my long run to 5 miles (currently 3 miles)[/STRIKE] Done
[STRIKE]No bought lunches at work[/STRIKE] Done
[STRIKE]Continue not smoking (currently 61 days since my last cig)[/STRIKE] Done
[STRIKE]Do not touch my overdraft at all[/STRIKE] Done

I'm quite impressed with all that!
Debt free since December 2015. It can be done

  • My aims for March:
    - update signature when payments made 5th March
    - £50 spare money after all bills for this month - stick to this!!
    - spend birthday prezzie money wisely
    - hope to get paid early again this month (drama of 6 paydays a month which change every month) to fund a family weekend away end of March
    - move petrol money to car kitty esavings again
    - apply for a new interest free credit card *fingers crossed*
    - loose 2lbs+

I found this great last month - monthly aims are so much more manageable than yearly!

    My list for March:

    - continue to make all our bread/cakes etc (except for a bought birthday cake by special request this week) Did this, but everyone is pining for just one loaf of white sliced now, so that'll be a treat next week ;)
    - a few more runs around the park No, bit of a health scare had me walking instead
    - aim to play badminton each weekend, when partner is around. If not, skip (I joined in with the girls' skipping the other day, and had forgotten how much fun it is!) No, as above, so have just been walking EVERYWHERE!
    - finish rejigging filing system. Almost there, but I need a final push Yes! Hurray!
    - meet NSD target for the month (didn't quite make it last month) Boiler incident meant I was one short :(
    - buy no books Thank heavens for libraries, no books bought this year
    - no clothing purchases for me Managed this - no clothing purchases so far all year :j
    - paint at least one room - keep putting this off OK, BIT of a cheat here, as I finished painting the main bedroom today, so technically, I didn't do it all in March. But hey, it's close enough for me :)

    Good luck everyone :D

Well done all who met all or most (or even some) of your targets - and congrats on the pregnancy, gilttermonster :)
2011 wins: 2 day gym membership, film download, NETBOOK!
    Debt at LBM: [STRIKE][/STRIKE] [STRIKE]26/1/11 = £4733.26[/STRIKE] 11/6/11 = £3759.384

This was nice in Feb and I managed most of them so am trying again in March with another one added
    • Stick to my GC budget and aim to come in under
    • Aim to meet NSD target for March (blasted Feb's!)
    • Use TD only once fortnight preferably
    • Over pay on CC by £130
    • Pay £20 in SPC and £31 into £365 pots
    • Run 3 times a week
    • Restart Shred Dvd
    • Start selling again on ebay for exercise equipment unused
    • Go walking at least 2 weekends in March
    • Continue to take in lunch for work and uni etc
    • Make cakes + biscuits instead of buying them
    • Sow some seeds
    • Tidy garden up
    • Clean house after work instead of weekends and also do some reading for course on days not cleaning
    • Continue to cook meals from scratch and no ready meals or pizzas
    • See if I can gather some more funds to pay back CC
