Dippy a new photocard driving licence does have to be replaced every 10 years but your entitlement to drive remains until your 70th birthday. Personally I think they are using the 10 year replacement ruling as a money making option. They will probably say that it's because peoples appearances change. The advantage of photocard licences is that they are more readily accepted when driving abroad.
I thought it was April before we heard but having just checked email I see that Miss A has been allocated a place at our chosen school :T
Email excerpt below.
Miss A has been allocated a place at ***** School.
If you are a ***shire resident and it has not been possible to offer your child a place at any of the chosen schools, the place allocated for your child will be at the normal area school (if places are still available) or the next nearest Authority school with places available. If no school is given above the authority has been unable to offer your child a place at any school.
Full details on the decisions relating to your application will be confirmed in a letter posted second class on 1st March 2011.
Glad to hear Miss A will be going to her chosen school! Fingers crossed for your offspring embb:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -
Good morning all.
It's soooooo lovely to have another sunny, clear day here! Birds twittering about nesting and snowdrops. And I've got a precocious tomato seedling popping through already!
Got my spending diary.... however, have an almost uncontrollable urge to nip to butchers and spend on skirt steak after someone on here (can't remember who) mentioned making Cornish Pasties the other day..... Hmmmmm.
Off to find my listy....

Textiles, languages, travel and a lovely home are not stupid things to want. You have immediate family's support.Appreciate what I've achieved so far. Other people's opinion of me is none of my business.0 -
Good luck to everyone waiting to find out about school places. I can't believe it's a year since I was waiting to hear if DD had got her place! Congratulations to Miss A getting her place!
I won't say this too loudly as I don't want to tempt fate but I actually feel human today!!!! Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Thanks again for everyone's good wishes.
Today i've done the months banking within an inch of it's life. Everything allocated and a whole £27.67 that's not been accounted for yet :rotfl:. That's up £22 on last month so i'm guessing i've left something out!
I've also cleared the fridge and the larder out ready for a big tesco shop which should arrive soon - i now pay the extra rather than stay up until stoopid o'clock to save 50p!
I'm going to s/s the bathroom but very gently!
Can I ask for some advice off ebay experts. I sold an item on Sunday and the £90 payment was paid into my paypal account immediately. The item is very bulky and heavy so was pick up only which the advert said clearly, twice! I've sent two messages to the buyer to ask when he wants to pick it up and they've not contacted me. I've noticed their address is down south and i'm up North so hoping they don't expect me to post! Do I just send daily messages until they contact me? Thanks xx
Hugs to everyone especially tootles and LL. Hope the sun is shining for you all! xx0 -
popping in for the first time this week - busy day yesterday. Kitchen was really a no go yesterday because I managed to gouge a big slice out of my finger on Friday (damn scone and a new knife!) and haven't been able to get it, or the steri-strips holding it together wet. Seems to have knit together with some airing last night though so will give it a day to stop being so tender and get to the kitchen later in the week.
This morning done a general pick up, sorted out washing on airers/for machine and paired up baby's nappies and boosters

Morning ladies,
Very tired this morning, up with the baby quite a few times last night. He's having a sleep now so am just chilling out for a bit.
Nappies on the line by 8am so hope they will dry by sunset, might not do though as it's very cold. Ds1 driven to school, I'm such a kind mummy (he's nearly 13), breakfast eaten but that's about it. Need to meal plan and go shopping today and my mum is coming over in a bit. Might just be a level 1 day for me but we'll see
Happy flying!Updating soon...0 -

Hi Mudders,
sometimes the buyers don't answer 'til after the weekend,(could be a buisiness),
OH and I trek 'up t'North' to collect stuff.
We've been known to go up the East coast to deliver and collect stuff, go across to Derby, then down the middle to collect more and come home...all in one day
Don't hassel them every day, they may give you a ring...it's a pain if your waiting to free up the space tho..;)
If your very worried PM me and I'll give you some tips.:cool:C.R.A.P.R.O.L.L.Z # 40 spanner supervisor. No problem can withstand the assault of sustained thought.Only after the last tree has been cut down.
