Wow, I'm new to this thread and don't know how you all do it :j
I managed 2 and a half things from level one yesterday but I guess it's a startThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
I started clearing the clean piles of clothes from our bedroom and found 4 more things for ebay (which have been waiting for ages to be done!) So they are now listed and I am going to have some lunch and clear a deal from the HDD.
ETA so that is now 26 things listed, some of it had better sell!Official Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang0 -
“I am a mean mummy.. I take her off when she is just sucking for sucking sake.. she is a very sucky baby too and for the first 6 weeks was feeding every hours, just about on the hour for about 20 minutes a go.. but she sleeps on a night.. and you can cope with anything just about so long as you have had a decent nights sleep. My last one was loud lol.. when she was born at 34 weeks the paed from scbu said 'anything that screams like that is not coming in my scbu!' .. She is 6 and still loud!”
Pigpen – I’m seriously hoping that the pead meant that a baby with such good lung power had obviously already got the hang of the breathing/circulation thing so didn’t need special care and not that he/she didn’t want a headache! I’m sure your not a mean mummy just more experienced than me – I know I’m making a rod for my own back with the sleeping thing.
Grafefulforhelp – “She has got nine children” – Didn’t you know my baby makes as much washing as nine of other peoples
Hope you enjoy your maternity leave gratefulforhelp and get some rest before the little one arrives.
Lindseykim13- Thanks for the welcome. It’s good to know it gets easier. Unfortunately I have to go back to work when she is 10 months old and I was just starting to wonder how on earth I was going to convince a childminder to take her on. I thought they might think she was more work than the money they would be getting!
Helen Jelly – “My kiddies school has just been OFSTEDed and according to my daughter is got Satisfactory - am I right in thinking that this is 1 up from poor - last time they got Good - going tomorrow to have a look at another school for DS [DD has only got till July and then she finishes there]”
Hiya, Yes you are right the grades are unsatisfactory, satisfactory, good, outstanding. (but bear in mind when your judging them a lot of schools have been getting satisfactory since the change in government). Luckily the school I work at (when not on maternity leave) was OFSTEDed in May last year and managed to retain our ‘good’ but I know lots of teachers who have been disappointed with recent OFSTED’s. They are all a farce anyway. The weekend before OFSTED I spent 35 hours planning 10 hours of lessons! As if we normally spend that long! It’s all acting and mostly they make their decision before they arrive. If they want you to be ‘outstanding’ they will search for those things and not see any others. If they want you to be ‘unsatisfactory’ they will accidently miss all the outstanding things you do and search out anything they can that is not quite right.
Anyway onto my flying for today. I have
Decluttered and hoovered floors in living room
plumped pillows and fluffed throws
Checked smoke alarms
Hoovered upstairs
Run lots of errands in town
Hung up the load of washing I did last night
Not sure if I’m brave enough to create even more washing and wash covers on the sofa (they do need doing though!)
Still to do:
Banky stuff
Sort photos into date order
Clean toilet and shower

Pigpen, my daughter (5 years) used to dribble all day and was not bothered by it at all. It really bothered me. I would wash her, change her, berate her etc. She does seem to have stopped now though, not sure why but I was laying it on thick about smelling like a tramp:o. I know this is not advice, just I am staggered by how frustrating it must be.0 -
Went to fetch emptied bin from pavement and discovered it is a beautiful day (well as long as you stay in the sun)
So house has been abandoned and any flying will be done in the garden.0 -
My blooming cat has scratched open and used a value bag of cat litter all over my upper hallway floor. It's the cheapo grey clay stuff that sticks to every thing. It's everywhere!
I need to sort out somewhere to store the stuff where he can't get to it.
Just level 1 today as it'll take so long to clean up.
The ex is coming on Saturday to replaster my bathroom - woo hoo! I'll be able to pop the flat on the market in a month or so at this rate.0
