Marching on in March - The NSD Challenge

Hello all - LTNS!
I've been quite busy with studies, work, emotional ups and downs (I grew up in Japan so have fond memories and friends still there)... and I have managed not to spend on 5 days of the week which is good - the not so good news is I did have a very emotional shop on Thursday after a particularly rough lunch with my estranged son (who moved out to live with his GF and her parents - he is 17) ... it was a heavy spend. I am an emotional shopper - by declaring that I wonder if that is the first step to recovery?
Declaring 12 NSD total
I also had a crap day at work on Friday when it was made clear to me that one of the senior managers would not support a move into a role I wish to apply for... but rather than get 'emotional' and display so called negative 'behavior' (one blow out and you are never allowed to forget it!) I have decided to use the rest of this year to polish up my CV, figure out how to ace interviews and get my lilly white !!! out of there! No medals for loyalty or hard work!
At least I have not lost my sense of humor and I have kept my lent pledge and not hit the bottle!
I hope everyone has had a better week and I am looking forward to next week - bring on clock change time... it means it is closer to warmer weather and BBQ season!Well lets see - I dip in and out of MSE all the time but I still come back - have done since 2007!!!

NSD #10!!!!! achieved! Yay! I know today isn't over yet but I'm on a night shift (again
) and I'll be sleeping or at work for the rest of it. Already got treats lined up for tonight- buttered bread rolls that are a little bit dry but taste yummy zapped in the microwave until the butter melts. Might take a little bit of the spag bol I'm cooking later too. Nom nom nom.
Can't believe I've actually hit my target! Must mean I'll have to raise it next month :P Hoping to really get in control of my money now, can't keep frittering it away like I have been.
Our greatest weakness lies in giving up; always try just one more time0 -
Another NSD so now up to 11!!!!!!!
This is also my second NSD weekend in a row.Not bad going....0 -
Thank you everyone for the support, you're all lovely on here.
Sorry to hear you're having a rollercoaster of it wit40iwtwan. It's hard to know what to say as I can only imagine how upsetting recent events must have been for you. I really didn't want to ignore it though, I wish you and the people you are thinking of the very best of luck. :grouphug:
I might as well declare today an NSD because it's not even possible to spend- I've no way to withdraw from my bank account till Monday. I am going to need to up the ante with NSD's to even out the money which was stolen. Let's see, it's the 20th now, March has 31 days, I reckon if I really go for it I might be able to get in 6 more as of tomorrow. I've already done 3 including today so my new NSD total is...
3/9 NSD's
That really is going-some for me, I usually aim for 2 NSD's a week. I'll be seeing you all over on OS on the leftovers/what's for dinner thread rather a lot I reckon!I refuse to be afraid of the big bad wolf, spiders, or debt collection agencies; one of them's not real and the other two are powerless without my fear.
(Ok, one of them is powerless, spiders can be nasty.)
As of the last count I have cleared [STRIKE]23.16%[/STRIKE] 22.49% of my debt.

So, Friday was definitely not a NSD... the call of the vending machine, and a certain baked goods chain, proved too much after a night out on Thursday!
But, I didn't spend anything from my account yesterday, woop woop! So I'm up to 5/12 :j :j :j
And, very excitingly, I was cleaning while Mr Lotti had a bit of a nap, he came down when I'd just about finished downstairs and was shocked at the change! So much so he said "I feel awful for sleeping while you've been working so hard... can I pay for dinner to help make it up to you?" Only Nando's, but I was bowled over! (Am I too easily pleased? I also wasn't even sulking about him napping...) I'm sitting here, ahem, "studying" with a MASSIVE grin on my face
So a NSD for me today I really hope! :j“Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off your goals.”

(((((Hugs))))) to all who need them...sorry you're having a bad time of it atm.
Declaring today as NSD no 13...busy in the house and garden today, so no spending. :j
Won a couple of things on e$ay, but as I had enough credit in P*yP*l to cover them both, I'm not counting them (<£5 total). Got a couple of sewing feet for my sewing machine..hope they fit! Still, not the end of the world if they don't...worth a punt though
.
Off back outside in a mo, DH is having a bit of a bonfire, but the smoke is clearing a bit now...need to water the plants again, though may wait a bit longer...might do the ones at the front and near the back of the house first.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend,...here's to another spend-limited week!!

Hi folks,
Unfortunately no NSDs to declare for the weekend, as I went to Mr T yesterday and had to get washing tablets today, so I'll go for it during the week.
Hanna, sorry about your wallet being stolen. It's absolutely horrible and a real hassle. If you've nothing decent to say, perhaps you shouldn't say anything.
