I've been quite busy with studies, work, emotional ups and downs (I grew up in Japan so have fond memories and friends still there)... and I have managed not to spend on 5 days of the week which is good - the not so good news is I did have a very emotional shop on Thursday after a particularly rough lunch with my estranged son (who moved out to live with his GF and her parents - he is 17) ... it was a heavy spend. I am an emotional shopper - by declaring that I wonder if that is the first step to recovery?
Declaring 12 NSD total
I also had a crap day at work on Friday when it was made clear to me that one of the senior managers would not support a move into a role I wish to apply for... but rather than get 'emotional' and display so called negative 'behavior' (one blow out and you are never allowed to forget it!) I have decided to use the rest of this year to polish up my CV, figure out how to ace interviews and get my lilly white !!! out of there! No medals for loyalty or hard work!
At least I have not lost my sense of humor and I have kept my lent pledge and not hit the bottle!
I hope everyone has had a better week and I am looking forward to next week - bring on clock change time... it means it is closer to warmer weather and BBQ season!
I hope you have a better week next week, I also spend when i am feeling downand sometimes it seems quite uncontrollable. I always feel guilty afterwards but at the time i don't care
maybe we can spur each other on to not spend!!!

hannah i know it wont be any help now but when you get you cards sorted consider opening a basic account with the same bank then when you get the new card keep it seperate from the ones you keep in your purse and then if the worst should happen you would only need to go online to transfere funds to spare card i have done this only i lost mine and with having little ones at the time not good some one at the bank suggested it and its the best thing i ever did peace of mind knowing i can still access money at weekends and also dont have to struggle for a week comes in handy too when the kids sit on your coat and snap a bank card in half lol hope it doesnt happen again but like my nan always said be prepared and it might never happen and it is so true2nd purse challenge no040£0 Sealed pot challenge ???? £2 trolley find not counting small coins till end year0

Well, against the odds I managed to get another NSD today, taking me to NSD#8. Needed a few bits for the sunday roast, but sent DH out to get them instead! :rotfl:
It doesn't look likely that I'll reach my target this month, much to my disgust, but I'll have a blooming good go over the next few days! It will mean getting 7 in 11 days- hmmm.... not impossible, but not very likely either!!Save £12k in 2021: Jan £1834.40, Feb £1692.810 -
