Might see if I can dig out some vinyl this afternoon and have a bash at it......Cheryl0 -
Is this where I confess to owning it on vinyl?
Was in a charity shop last year (? may have been the one before) and they had a Val Doonican album my parents had when I was a child - which includes this track - and I couldn't resist rehoming it
Gosh we've certainly stirred up a hornet's nest with our reminicences of Val & Co. My Dad had a few Val Doonican albums ( probably still does, somewhere) The one I remember as his fave was "Val Doonican Rocks.........but gently" ( geddit?;)) which was a nod to him finishing the show singing in the rocking chair! The song was usually a right tearjerker and my Mum and Gran would be bubbling away! ( Scarlet Ribbons springs to mind!) Terry Wogan used to call him Val Hooligan:rotfl:

Afternoon all!
A bit later today as I've been to Co$tco , BUT I'm declaring an NSD ( #9) How I hear you say? Cos OH paid ( he got a wee bonus this week):j
We stocked up on some freezer stuff and the all-important sweetie cupboard is nice and full!
We then dropped into Sis' house as it's her birthday today. Coffee and a good catchup, as my M&D were also there, as were my two nieces.
Quiet day for the rest of the day, I'm chilling out with my book!
Have a lovely day everyone:)

:mad:Count me in as well
(And anything from the Spinners as well !!!)
Ahhh- takes me back!! My Mum was a great fan of both Val Doonican and the Spinners, so I too was subjected to these as a kid! I remember going to see the Spinners in concert a couple of times, and we often had their albums playing in the house
I actually came on here to announce today as a NSD, but whilst I was sat here, remembered going to the butchers this morning
I'm not doing at all well this month. I think it's just that I've been SO busy that I have been rather disorganised. I'm looking forward to the end of the month so that I can get a grip and start again!!Save £12k in 2021: Jan £1834.40, Feb £1692.810 -
Hello everyone!
Checking in to report that Friday was another NSD, so I'm now up to 16 NSDs! Woo hoo!
Unfortunately, I had to top with petrol today, and I'm out with friends later, so today is a spend day - but looking forward to having a drink and a catch up ... there won't be any Val Doonican nor the Spinners, but I'll be thinking of you all anyway!
Have a good weekend everyone and hope you're enjoying the sun!:money: Proud to [STRIKE]be dealing with[/STRIKE] have dealt with my debts! :money:
