    Oooh, Val Doonican and The Spinners!! That brings back lots of lovely memories. Still have a Spinners cassette somewhere. I saw them twice in the late seventies...(I was @ Uni at the time :o). It was a great sing-a-long.

    Declaring today as NSD no 12 :j:j

    DH is picking up DS1 from Uni this afternoon, but dropping him off at his GF's on the way back, so only DS's stuff is arriving home today. No doubt he will make it back here eventually :rotfl:

    Off outside to get more seeds sown in the greenhouse...need to pot up the next set of toms too...we're going to run out of space in the conservatory soon!! :D

    Have a lovely weekend, with a few NSDs nabbed too.

    Lovely day outside - I will be spending most of the rest of the day in the garden :) Reporting NSD 10 today...I am going out tonight for a meal with PIL, but my DH will be paying for that ;)

    The sun having his hat on really puts me in the best mood ever :j

    Was in a charity shop last year (? may have been the one before) and they had a Val Doonican album my parents had when I was a child - which includes this track - and I couldn't resist rehoming it ;)
    Well as its confession time, Cheryl, ....... I own it as well... but..... I didn't buy it (phew!!):D. Picked it up from my parents' house when they moved, it hasn't moved since as we no longer have a record player but I can't bring myself to get rid of it:o:o

    Don't know as many of their tracks, but there is one in particular that I bought the album for.....

    It's called "Castles In The Air", and it's all about fostering. As my parents were foster parents it was particularly topical to us - and I love playing it (over, and over, and over, and......) once in a while.

    Must have a 'play' with my USB turntable (which I bought myself out of last years sealed pot money) and see if I can get that track (and the Val Doonican album) loaded onto my iP0ds yes.gif

    I can see why you'd remember that song then Cheryl.. and you're going to be busy as well.

    I was thinking about buying a USB turntable, have you used yours much and, if so, is it any good?
