Suzie - good news about OH redundancy pay - and I'll bet he looks lovely in a pinny ;) Is he ok now about your extra hours come sept?
Funny you should say that- I threatened to buy him a nice new pinny on the day he leaves work!!! :rotfl:

As for the extra hours come sept, he did seem to come to accept it, and we have been talking lots about it now we have some more information about his redundancy. HOWEVER, today I was given some information in confidence which changes things a little and needs lots of thought. One of the heads of department told me that the head and senior management think I am brilliant (:A) and they really want me to go full time. I had been adamant that I wanted at least a day off, but it turns out that if I am full time I will get enough 'free lessons' at school to be able to do all my planning, marking etc there, and not need to bring work home. The department head also told me that she thought I would be able to negotiate finishing slightly early so that I can pick up DD and DS from school. She seems to think that they are so desperate for me to teach more, that I would be in a strong position to tell them what I am prepared to do, rather than them telling me!!
It was very weird hearing all of this- apparently there has been a lot of discussion about me going on between senior management- and I had no idea! I'm really pleased I was told, albeit in confidence, and I won't let on that I know. I now have to have a serious chat with DH and work out the pros and cons and whether it is really feasible. I still have pupils that I will be tutoring after school, and I'm not prepared to let them down as they have GCSEs next year.

So much to think about- I bet you wish you hadn't asked!!!:rotfl:

Does this mean we'll be meeting Mr Wong then? We'll look after him & I'm sure Igor won't mind passing on his kitchen secrets...oh..praps that might not be such a good thing...how much do you like Daffodil Delight & Hog Roastie-toasties? Nah. Don't worry; Hubbs will fit right in I'm sure :D

Ooh- I don't know!! He knows I come on here a lot, but I'm not sure that he would come and chat himself :p

Mind you, he'll have so much time, he won't know what to do with himself, once he's done the cleaning, cooking, shopping, washing, packed lunches etc that is!!:rotfl:
I think he will have an almighty shock when he finds out all the things that I do that he has never had to know about before. There's no chance of him remembering what sports club DS goes to each day, and sending him off with the right kit!! :p

    Sounds very positive Suzie :D

Update on my NSDs whilst I am here - another 4 to report, bringing my total to 16/20 and on top of Sunday's NSD, that makes 5 in a row :D

I might even get a 6th in a row tomorrow but won't count my chooks just yet! Feeling a bit more positive & like I might be back on track, so fingers crossed stays that way ;)
Debt Free since Nov 11 (ish) (except the £118000 mortgage :o) as at Jan 2013 but still hanging around DFW as I need to Stay On Track.

    Hey Peeps,

Hope everyone is well, I've been out working in the sunshine today but the fresh air has made me really tired!

Yesterday and today have been no-spenders, so that brings me to 12 NSD's for the month. I'm on last shifts for the next two days, ahhhhh....but I need petrol. Ah well, maybe I'll pick up another one over the weekend.

Hello NSD gang, reporting another NSD taking me to

    7 NSDs so far

Bdini - maybe the new job was not meant to be. Maybe, with a bit of tweaking, you could find your ideal job right where you are now? Fingers crossed for the coming days.....I am sure it will all work out in the end.

Jinty - talking of jam doughnuts (I assume that is what you call a wee jammie? If not, shut up Nargle and get back to the washing up)
I have to correct you on a minor point. Most jam doughnuts nowadays seem to be filled with a cheap blended fruits jam made mostly of plums with the odd raspberry chucked in. Therefore they count as TWO of your five-a-day........
