Hope today went better for you BDINI. You've been doing a sterling job running the thread, and all of your hard work is really appreciated.
No NSD for me today, somebody's leaving card came past my desk today and then I compounded the issue by buying a salad spinner in habitat. In my defense it was less than 25% of what it was on the internet, and when we move out of the house in June my housemate will take her's with her. It's an item of kitchen equipment I never would have thought to buy, but it's surprisingly useful.Total debt: [STRIKE]£9473.62[/STRIKE] £7,384.87 22% PAIDTAF #25 NSD 8/12 | Food £43.45/£50 | eBay 0/20 | Exercise 5/18:T Proud to be Dealing with my Debt :TDFD: June 20150 -
Now does that mean you are only skint sometimes, or that sometimes you love being skint?
I have brief moments of euphoria and wealth beyond imagination (the day my pay goes in) followed by gloom, despondency and depression as I observe funds winging their way from my bank account in various directions (usually on the day my pay goes in and nearly every day thereafter).
It's only this thread and the NSD challenge that keeps me sane (?)One life - your life - live it!0 -
Karmachi, you will find that wrapping the washed salad leaves in a clean teatowel and whirling it around above your head does the same job as a salad spinner.
However, you are forgiven your expenditure - a salad spinner doesn't make you look such a prat. One life - your life - live it!0 -

Ok quick update from me...
Firstly thank you, i am overwhelmed by how kind everyone has been, big hugs back to you all for your support :grouphug:
Well the long & short of it is that it doesn't look like i will be starting the new jobThat's the bad news that totally threw me off track yesterday.
The good news is that in an off the record discussion with my current boss he stated that he should have done much more to resolve the problems i've had but didn't only because he thought i was leaving. On the basis that it looks like i will probably be staying he has arranged a meeting in early April to put a support plan in place & he was just generally very kind to me which does make me feel better.
The other good news (& the reason why i haven't explained more fully) is that my union has been amazing & is starting to explore legal channels with regards to the job i've been waiting to start, it may come to nothing, but i have options (which is Nargle's natural justice with a little push from me!!), all i have to do is fill in a mountain of forms, keep all the details to myself & keep my fingers crossed that they come through for me!!
I'm definitely feeling a bit more positive today, i guess i just realised that this is what i'm stuck with for now & i have to make it work for me before i lose the ability to cope.... so smiley BDINI is back!!:D
