This is only the second time I've made a meal plan but our freezer is full to bursting point so I have to use stuff up. This menu involves me buying beansprouts, pak choi and that is it!

Sunday - roast lamb, roast pots, carrots, broccoli, runner beans
    Monday - chicken fried rice
    Tuesday - egg and chips
    Wednesday - pad thai
Thursday - pork kebabs with jacket wedges
Friday - steak, chips, corn on the cob, onion rings, mushrooms and grilled tomato
  • This weeks meal pans are:

Sunday-Roast Chicken, roasties, yorkies, carrots, cabbage and sprouts
Monday-HM Chicken Pie(leftovers), mash, cabbage and sweetocrn
    Tuesday-Spagbol
Wedesday-Lamb Chops, New pots, peas and carrots
Thursday-Shepards Pie, carrots and french beans

This week we will be having

    Shepherds pie
    pork and peanut chilli noodles
    hm pizza
lamb chops, w/ greek salad, new pots
pot roast beef (will be our "roast" on sunday)
    acapulco chicken
    chinese takeaway (on saturday)

    Have a good week :)
  • We got our first veg and fruit box delivered this week so had to stretch ourselves to make a menu with what we have rather than buying to suit our menu (if that makes sense?).

Sun - sausage, mash and onion gravy (HM)

Mon - HM chicken breast with pomegrantes and spuds

    Tues - lentil dhal (HM)

Weds - HM lamb souvlakia served with couscous w/ mint, apricots and dates

Thurs - one pan spicy rice (HM) - basically onion, curry paste (HM) rice, chickpeas, sultanas all cooked in one pan; very tasty, simple and cheap!

Fri - well I am going out! and DH will have some leftover HM beef stew from the Freezer.
  • Breakfasts are cereal, toast, fruit, coffee.

Lunches are sandwich/fruit/salty snack for DH and usually soup for me.

Salads are based on what's on sale / special offer when I go shopping.

SUNDAY: Greek potatoes, stuffed vine leaves, crispy vegetarian duck, salad with fennel, apple, cucumber and spring onions with SB creamy poppyseed dressing

    MONDAY: Jambalaya, mixed salad

TUESDAY: Veggie chilli, ciabatta, mixed salad

WEDNESDAY: Cabbage rolls, veggie sausages, broccoli and pea salad w/ toasted sunflower seeds

THURSDAY: Veggie burgers on HM buns, HM potato wedges, cole slaw

FRIDAY: Veggie tacos w/ HM guacamole, salsa, spring onions, etc.

SATURDAY: (FIL coming for tea) - Pasta with spinach and roasted veg (tomatoes, mushrooms, artichoke hearts, red pepper, garlic), baby peppers stuffed with Cheezly, basil, olives & capers, salad.

    :)
I want to move to theory. Everything works in theory.

Just discovered how useful it is posting menu plans here as I can look and see what is meant to be for tea tonight as I'd forgotten and not got my list!! ;)

Prawn & egg fried rice was lovely (recipe from packet of easy-cook rice). Thought there might be enough for lunch today but we ate it all!!
