    Hi FFC

I remember you from the threads. I used to see your name around the boards.

You won't recognise me so don't worry about placing me.

Nice to meet you officially :)

guys, don't forget to check the updated printable coupon thread before shopping! so many new coupons! managed to use loads yesterday :j

means managed to get quite a bit of meat and stuff DH likes for a lot less than I am prepared to pay. coupons not on meat, but where I saved money on things like washing up liquid, means I have a bit extra this month for meat. Actually stocked up and hope to make it last for 2 weeks. But am going to have to find a local butcher, none not halal where I am, and Halal butchers are so expensive! and start buying meat from them. We used to have a great english butcher, they were so patient with me, but they moved out as couldn't afford the rates.

thanks hun, but we have at least 3 Halal butchers in our shopping area, then another 3 in the next town, and so on.

I meant the Halal butchers are very expensive for me so am looking for an english butchers shop. The only thing I buy from the Halal butchers is goat meat for goat curry, as really the only place locally I can get it.

never thought about that, but so true, our local tesco has a very small unit with halal meat for sale, but it is only small. So yes, they have a huge corner of the market.

the only supermarket with butchers I have locally is waitrose and they are just as expensive.

our local English butcher was cheaper and very helpful to me - he would cut things upto into smaller pieces, etc for me. and if I didn't want a whole something he would cut to size how much I wanted and charge me only for that amount.

contact tesco and ask i f they can help you
they sometimes do market research to find out the needs of their locals and if they know people want halal they will bring it in
if they have a butcher on site they could also do the chopping up for you too, its worth a try;)
if you dont ask you dont get
