Watching vera on 3 & she sounds a wee bit like you 3dogs
Oh I meant to watch that - Brenda Blethyn isn't it? I am watching Downton Abbey on ITV3+1 at moment so will watch Vera on ITV+1 after that - I read that she listened to lots of Cheryl Cole to get the accent right  :eek:Mr 3Dogs 3-7-12

Hi all. Aesop, good link for curry sauce voucher, my OH makes curries on a regular basis.
SW, had never heard of chewing sweet fennel seeds to cleanse the pallette in between courses when eating in an Asian food restaurant (or indeed as a cure for ulcers). It really is amazing what you pick-up from browsing MSE's DFD postings.
3Dogs, glad your mum is OK and that MR3Dogs is doing well at the car boot. Now my eye is fixed, I may venture out to one next weekend (can't drive till Thursday, luckily I live 10 mins. walk from train station & work 20 mins. walk from another). My next target is to book eye test for 2 weeks time so I can get some proper reading glasses instead of the 'off-the shelf' ones I bought as a temporary measure.Never Knowingly Understood.

Well done on eye. Take it easy and rest them as much as poss and take the appropriate drops as they help them to heal faster. My eyes took ages to heal after my problems. Well done. Hooray.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220

Glad you're eye is OK now after your operation Patman :j and I bet you are looking forward to driving again and getting your prescription glasses
I'm watching Vera on the telly now and she has the accent off very well but can tell it came from Cheryl ColeIt is lovely to hear the voices and see all the places I know - they've just been on the beach we all went to last Sunday by the looks of it - certainly looked like the sand dunes at Seaton Sluice to me, from what I could see

Well, I enjoyed 'Vera' but thought that they overdid Brenda Blethyn's character - I did however love her sidesick Joe Ashworth played by David Leon
and his voice/accent was very nice indeed - easy on the eye and on the ears
Just said on the news that the boxer Sir Henry Copper has died today - a lovely genuine manMr 3Dogs 3-7-12
