Well done on response to your letter. Gosh it is good that they value their customers!
You are working on changing things by updating your cv. I feel sorry for your mum with your poor dad being so ill. It is frightening for you too. I am sorry.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220 -

Subject: Bacon Tree
Bacon Tree
Two Mexicans are stuck in the desert after crossing into the United States , wandering aimlessly and starving. They are about to just lie down and wait for death, when all of a sudden Luis says.........
"Hey Pepe, do you smell what I smell. Ees bacon, I theenk."
"Si, Luis, eet sure smells like bacon. "
With renewed hope they struggle up the next sand dune, & there, in the distance, is a tree loaded with bacon.
There's raw bacon, there's fried bacon, back bacon, double smoked bacon ..... Every imaginable kind of cured pork.
"Pepe, Pepe, we ees saved. Ees a bacon tree."
"Luis, maybe ees a meerage? We ees in the desert don't forget."
"Pepe, since when deed you ever hear of a meerage that smell like bacon...ees no meerage, ees a bacon tree."
And with that, Luis staggers towards the tree. He gets to within 5 metres, Pepe crawling close behind, when suddenly a machine gun opens up, and Luis drops like a wet sock. Mortally wounded, he warns Pepe with his dying breath,
"Pepe.... Go back man, you was right, ees not a bacon tree!"
"Luis, Luis MI amigo... What ees it? "
"Pepe.. Ees not a bacon tree. Ees
Ees
Ees
Ees
Ees a ham bush...."Aiming for a minimal spend 20220 -

We do know the nicest people. i just said thanks to Bob as she is so amazing too. I dont know if williams posts were amended maybe he took out things so bad people didn't cause trouble? I havent seen any recent changes.
My likkle doggie avatar doesn't know whether he is coming or going - so yes, he is like me Kit :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:I complained about a restaurant i went to a few weeks back, and the general manager rang me to offer us a free 2 course meal with a bottle of wine on top!! Woo! Excited
Its pretty pants in the house at the moment. If only i could drive and i'd go out. As it is i'm stuck here, and my mood is going down and downMy mum is going to hit breaking point soon, and i dunno what to do to help her. I think she is finding it hard to live a life and look after my father, as well as have two grown up children at home when she's in her mid 60's.
Well done on the free meal front Vix - too many people moan about things like bad service or a bad meal, but do not actually complain to the people concerned, so good on you for following it up and getting a fair result
Vix - has your Mum had any advice on how to deal with a family member with Alzheimers? Is she in touch with the Alzheimers Society, or a member of an Alzheimers Group for carers of people with the disease? There is help out there for people in her situation - she does not have to go through it alone. It is a very difficult disease to deal with and she needs help to understand what your Dad is going through, what she should do to care for him, what help and respite is available, and to talk to others in the same situation. I would recommend she contacts the Alzheimers Society to find out more details and to ask about a Carers Group she could go to. My Mam got a visit every so often from someone at the Alzheimers Society to discuss her current situation, plus my Brother went to a Carers Group. Otherwise, she will reach breaking point, she really will - as it takes too much out of the carer without help, and that help IS available hunMr 3Dogs 3-7-12

Yea, i've been cleaning alot. I cooked a meal two nights ago and make her cups of tea. I bought her loads of flowers for the help she is giving me. She's out bowling on her own tonight, i'm glad she has got a break with different people to talk to. Perhaps she'll be happier when she gets back.
I think i've finished my covering letter, i don't like it much so i might see what a new day brings tomorrow with a fresh mind on it. I've defo finished my CV so i'm half way there!
Have we had a good day everyone?0 -

"Hanging my head in shame" is his only thread isn't it? Current page starts mid February and then jumps to current posts - I'm sure I read some other posts recently .............. and there is nothing about the note from his wife on there, unless I am having a 'nearly senile moment'Mr 3Dogs 3-7-12
