My house is now safer! We have the earth, just the rewire next month.
My throat is still in tatters, so fed up with it, DH snoozing on sofa as poorly too. Really really want to have some fun and a spring in our step
Good to hear house is earthed now.
Honey and lemon, lots of fluids. Have you checked out what's on, on netmums? lots of free stuff to do.0 -

I have been sorting out our van insurance over the last two days   I think I mentioned that I got a renewal quote of £39.16 on my van insurance against present £34.76, which I thought was still pretty good. However, I wanted to check comprehensive cover as I only had Third Part, Fire & Theft cover, and heard that it can be cheaper for comprehensive than TP,F&T as people who have just TP,F&T cover are seen as higher risk
Then Mr 3dogs decided to sign off sick and go self-employed with the car boots, so had to change those details too
Now, since we have only had one vehicle, the car insurance has been in my name as I had better occupation as Civil Servant and had more no-claims discount. We did last year though change Mr 3dogs to the main driver to reflect the true position as I rarely drive the van with us both being at home
I contacted my brokers and gave them the details of the changes and they came up with £72 which they then reduced to £63 but said that the insurers wanted the insurance in Mr 3Dogs name as he was working and the quote was relatively high due to his trade, which we had to put as Market Trader, as car-booting is not covered anywhere. Of course, the quote is also higher as Mr 3Dogs does not have any no-claims bonus, though they did give £100 discount due to previous custom, etc
I said that I would have to check online for alternative quotes and did so, coming up with £45 still keeping the insurance in my name However, I rang them up to query it and was told that this would not cover Market Trader, which would mean the cost being £60
So I got back on to my broker and told them this and decided to go with them again, at cost of £63 per month over 11 months which worked out cheaper and I like having a local office I can go into to pick up paperwork, etc if necessary. I also get £30 cheque as cashback in 3 months time, which balanced against cashback I could get elsewhere
So, although the van insurance is now £63 instead of £34.76, it is fully comprehensive cover in Mr 3Dogs name with him as self-employed market trader which truly reflects our position, so we are both happy with thatMr 3Dogs 3-7-12

Talking of clothes, I have a box full of clothes here that Mr 3Dogs picked up at the auction today - he got them for nothing as someone forgot to pick them up - I went through them as he said I can use them for the stray dog fund and they are Debe*hams, Next, George, F & F, M & S, and all look new to me - will sell them for 50p each tomorrow :j :jMr 3Dogs 3-7-12
