so, its bank holiday and I'm NOT at work :j makes a change !!

Actually feeling quite chilled out this weekend, all going well with my lodger, we get on really well and couldnt have asked for anyone better really.:D

so a couple of achievements I am v pleased with -

firstly my car insurance - did the online comparisons then phoned up my current insurer who had already sent out my new quote and haggled them down - saved a further £5 /mth which really pleased about and better than switching as wouldnt have saved any more than that.

secondly - switching gas/elec providers - did the online checks this morning (which tbh I wasnt going to do as thoiught i had a good deal) and saving £123/yr plus getting £30 cash back so really pleased with that :j

On the downside, CC2 switches from 0% to approx 23% (need to double check) in oct and my credit rating for various reasons is to shot so cnnot switch. My plan is to pay as much extra as i can off between now and oct and then as suggested on cc forum page just pay off more than min each month so i am managing it and then try to switch again in about 6 months. angry with myself really - i missed a couple of payments, being lazy and not paying my bill as soon as it arrived and not setting up DD and then i would have been fine - will learn from these mistakes.

My other CC is 5.6% for life of the balance so whilst trying to hammer the second one I can just pay minimum on this one , aghhhh. cannot wait to have no CC!!!!!!!

you've been really productive this weekend, making lots of changes which are all good but take some time that people often won't invest.

Really worried about my mortgage with coventry building society - it is a joint one with my brother but obviously when he gets his own in a year which he plans to do i wont be able to get it by myself. i cn afford repayments and lodge covers bills but dont know what to do , dont want to lose the house. have asked for advice on mortgage board. :( really worrying about it now. going to call coventry tomorrow and see what they see - my poor credit rating is not helping .

i'm not sure i could help with the mortgage but you've gone to the right place the mortgage boards, but if you keep good records then you may just be able to pursuade the building society that you can afford the repayments and that you've been paying everything of late. It can only help.
  • Well I have been busy revising and also not been feeling great hence the not updating my diary!

    so hello diary once more!

Car news - passed its MOT :D, TAX sorted, car insurance sorted - got my current provider to reduce payments after doing oline search, thanks Martin:money:, cancelled RAC as now get cover with bank.

Debt busting - hmm, not great but little steps.........concentrating on M&S CC as going from 0% to mammouth amount and my C rating not good so cannot get another card.

Xmas news - still need to do pressie list but have a few already! going to speak to mates about not doing pressies this yr.

fridge freezer news - finally delivered!! marks on the freezer so complaining , hoping to get discount.

love life news - shockingly poor at the moment!!!!

this months news - going to food fair on friday so need money for that, also out for tea nxt week with a friend - will look for voucher. also taking parents for cheapo meal tonight to say thanks for all the work they have done on my house (saving me a fortune! so cannot begrudge a meal expense ). thinks thats all the spending for the month!!!!
