I think many users left the forum because it's become carp - no real debate now - it's usually just people hurling insults and being deliberately obtuse or maybe it's not deliberate.

I must say it is becoming tedious, the only decent thread is the nice people one.

Quite a few of these shed things built near where I live. Typically these are not rentals or such, but rather a way to extend the house cheaply by keeping the shed under the planning size limits. A significant number are built by Asian families who often have larger families and fitting into a small terrace etc doesnt leave much room.

Rather than being a symptom of housing shortage, these are more a reflection on larger families not being able to afford larger houses - builders putting up bigger houses will not solve this problem.

Slough has a similar large Asian community, so this wouldnt surprise me. Looking at the photo you can see the example is squeezed into a terraced area, so most likely a similar situation to the one near me.
;41582106]Graham you did all of the above.

You did reply on another thread.
You do reply with comments like '!!!!!!'
Anybody reading this thread, and most of the others you darken, can see that you ignore key parts of other peoples posts and you often misrepresent what is said.

You appear to be well known for it.
Given you can't even be honest about that, why would anyone think you're honest about anything else? or treat your posts with credence?
LOL. Oh dear, another landlord upset and trying to get all personal.

I did like the "others I try to darken" line though. That's a new one. A bit of originality is welcome.

You're wrong Graham, I'm not upset.

There was no 'try' mentioned, I don't think you would need to ;)

There is going to be a lot more for them to be upset about soon: the first of housing welfare drops come into force next month........ LHA rates drop to the 30th percentile. Hot on the tail of the welfare drop for mortgage interest payments.

From what I have read on the Benefits board, the new Universal Credit is not looking too good either for those who ask for some welfare payments, but have assets/investments. The old (present) system was only calculated on the money received from the investment/assets: UC is being calculated on the value.
RENTING? Have you checked to see that your landlord has permission from their mortgage lender to rent the property? If not, you could be thrown out with very little notice.
Read the sticky on the House Buying, Renting & Selling board.

Depends upon the type of property you let.
