I have not had to think about this yet, but the first shops that come to mind are Country Casuals and Jacques Vert - but it really depends on the budget - I got a beautiful silk dress and jacket in Country Casuals for my parents 50th in Country Casuals sale for around £50. The other place that has just come to mind is Roman Originals - but these are mostly at factory outlets.Fibro-Warrior0

Jacques Vert do some nice stuff - you can buy on Debenhams & HOF. But if you go direct through their website, you can get an extra 20% off when you register (this also includes sale stuff) Plus it's free P&P.

There is also a link to their website which sells last season stuff - includes Planet, Windsmoor, etc, but some prices aren't as cheap as JV normal sale stuff and P&P is £2.99

Jacques Vert is good, my MIL2B has bought her outfit from there. My mum has bought hers from Phase Eight which is also very good.

I would say whichever you feel most comfortable in. My MIL2B is wearing a hat but my mum is probably going to wear a fasinator

I'd say that would depend on the rest of your outfit (btw, Phase Eight has not yet been mentioned on this thread and they have lovely stuff in there), how formal the wedding will be, and personal preference. Try a few of each and decide which you like best. Maybe take your daughter with you? I'm definitely taking my mum hat-shopping, she's been looking forward to this for years!! Surely what you're getting depends on you and what you want and what suits you? Same goes for hat or fascinator - there's no right or wrong - just what you'd prefer. Just because you're Mum of the bride, you don't have to shop in a specific (for older ladies) shop - have a good look round in lots of shops - you'll be spoiled or choice!******** Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity *******"Always be calm and polite, and have the materials to make a bomb"0
