What can i make with some turkey steaks tonight?

Options
Hi all

I have some fresh turkey steaks which are out of date today so need to use them up. Am always at a bit of a loss what to do with turkey.. dont know why but i am!! I usually either do stir fry with them or do them in breadcrumbs (fried tut tut!)...... any ideas of what else i could do with them tonight? I have most of the "usual" cupboard staples :)

    This...?

One tin of tomatoes flung into the liquidiser with a couple of teaspoonfuls of cornflour, one chicken stock cube, about a cup of either white wine or water, a teaspoon on mixed herbs, a teaspoon of sugar and some salt and pepper. (I actually often add a bit of tomato paste as well. Whoosh it all together and pour over your crumbed breasts. Top with grated cheese.

    Easy peasy.

Cook at the equivalent of 180 degrees C for about 30 minutes.

I like to grill them and serve them up with a nice dollop of gravy, pots, yorkies and veg for a mini 'roast'. mmmm.

Also cut them up to go in risottos, and have cut them into strips and threaded along skewers (going in and out if you see what I mean, so you get a long wiggly kebab) and grill.

Hi all - i have 4 turkey steaks to which are use by 10th (today!) ... which wouldnt be a problem usually as there are normall 3 of us but my little boy went to my parents to stay the night yesterday and they have decided he should stay for another few days 0ver hols (yay!) So 4 steaks for me and OH is far too much. I was just going to breadcrumb and shallow fry a steak each for us for tea today but what can i do with the other 2 steaks??? Any ideas for something i could then freeze and reheat straight from frozen when needed? A kind of mini-batch cook?? :D

  • I don't get turkey steaks very often, only if they are reduced! Last ones I had I used in curry :)

Stir fry, curry, drizzled with lemon juice, olive oil, seasalt , and black pepper, and lightly grilled, or pan fried.
