honestly, does anyone believe that someone would walk round 50 strangers and ask their opinion of the gravy?
Stop feeding the troll.
If some stranger came up to me and said smell this I would probably say wear this....:rotfl::rotfl:
OP if you aren't a troll....you managed to get out of paying...move on.
I have been to Toby many times both daytime and evening with any problems being sorted out straight away. Ok the food may be not top notch, but then you are not paying top notch prices.0 -

No one will believe all of it! They'll just skip and read the next thing.0 -
You asked 50 people to sniff the gravy and yet the place was dead? That implies that no-one was there. Make up your mind!!0

I think ive sussed it!!
The gravy must have been made by Uncle Albert.
Did your after dinner coffee taste like gravy by any chance?? :rotfl:

Toby's are usually very good, but I did have a nightmare experience at Toby which I posted about here before, involving the manager calling the police because we had the audacity to insist on paying the bill with legal tender. As with all places, all it takes is a monkey of a manager on a bad day and the whole place can descend into a circus with one problem or another. I don't know whether I believe the entire story or not, but I do know that idiot managers can create huge problems, one after the other, so it's believable.
I recommend posting to their Facebook page. A rep always replies, and better still, every facebook user who's added them gets to see every complaint too. (This makes me think it's a seriously bad idea for companies to go on facebook: fans add them, and then all that fan sees is complaints about them! I'm sick of reading about how many times people have had bad pizzas delivered with too much oil, missing toppings, cold pizza etc, or carverys with no turkey, no parsnips, bad service... I only joined to keep an eye on money off vouchers!)0 -
I dont bother with them.
Most of them remind me of pig farms with hoards of kids screaming round and lots of people queuing up to feed their collective faces on the cheap. Most of the staff are barely kids themselves, then you have the spilled and trampled food on the carpet and the food that has been baking under the heat lamps for hours...no no no no no....Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0
