Where do you get the 7.5GB from?
My account only allows 1GB of storage space AFAIK.

I've got 5 different 7GiG accounts, had them for years. Maybe its a legacy thing I've had mine since the days you could not get one .. .. unless you were invited by an existing ' gmailer '

It's worth bearing in mind though that:

GMail Drive is an experimental package that depends on but is not provided by Google. Changes in Google's Gmail system may render GMail Drive temporarily or permanently inoperable.

7 GB isn't much in terms of data storage these days. If you store your data externally like this you run the risk of losing it, if Google lock your account or someone else being able to access it, if they get into your Google account.

Hasn't happened to me in more than a decade. I've stored all sorts of bits and uploaded stuff for others to access and download.

Gmail is and always was faultless, SkyDrive can be a pig, but yes it is an altenative

  • Just a question of course being a DA , how long will it take to store(upload) 7.5Gb (or skydrive 25Gb) over my 384kbs upload speed , and does this count towards my 10Gb download limit. Answers on a postcard please :D For the ease of calculating let's assume I am only uploading and not surfing whilst I wait.
