    Just remember that typical upload speeds are typically 5% or 10% of the download speed - something your ISP does not mention when trumpeting it's speed.

    gmail has a 20MB attachment limit, which I suspect applies here, personally I just use live skydrive (which has a 50MB per file limit)

    Who in particular? I of course wouldn't trust any cloud based storage unless I uploaded it Encrypted, I am with you closed, and also as a backup solution it does not appeal to me.

    Any cloud based service - even if encrypted, it's there forever, and as time goes on, any encryption is likely to be crackable. Anything unencrypted will be scanned and used for targeted ads automatically.

    eg. Put your pictures on, we have a face/location recognition app for that, we can read the jpg data and map your life out in great detail, here is a timeline of your life. maybe not now, but tomorrow.

    I'm sure this kind of use will appeal to some, facebook users etc, until someone hacks it and it's exposed it to the world.
