God I wish I could "thank" this more than once!
I attribute my good health and complete lack of allergies to the fact I was a very grubby child ... right down to eating dirt (for fun, not through poverty!).

another hygeine puzzle>has anyone heard of those places where you let fish nibble the rough skin off your feet?
they dont change the water, and i guess they cant disinfect the water-yuk!

As someone who once picked up verrucas (trust me,you don't want them),from trying on as trainer in a sports shop wearing no socks, surely this is hazardous. They dont eat it,they just nibble it off.0 -

Did you read the FAQs on that site?

All about how the sterilised water is filtered, you wash your feet before you go near the fish and that you're not allowed near them if you have verrucas?

Yes,they cleverly say you cant catch anything from the fish, but its the humans I am concerned about. And,even if I believe that " sterilizing" the water was sufficient, which I dont, and that they filter it "at least 8 times every hour",people with verrucas or athletes foot wouldnt necessarily know they have it in the early stages.

They ask people to fill in a form saying they havent got blah blah, but they dont check.AS for washing your feet,I have seen them do this treatment in shopping centre, they just ask people to run their feet under a tap,it takes about 20 seconds. Then give them a pair of crocs to wear.Do you believe everything a company tells you ?0 -
Why do the doors to the Toilets open inwards?
You can wash your hands before you leave, and then have grab the handle to open the door.
A good 30/40% of the men do not wash their hands.
(Can't speak for the women)
And you go for a number 2, get bacteria on your hands then what?
Well you pull up your trousers, tuck your shirt in etc.
Wiping bacteria all over the inside of your trouser waist band & on the buckle, then you got to wash your hands.
Ever tucked your shirt back in later on? OR undone the belt buckle when your eating because your a tad plump to "make room"
Cant stop now, I have another cold :j0 -

Back to OP's original point about the availability of anti bac gel everywhere to help prevent colds and flu spreading? I find it a trifle strange as colds and flu are virus' so surely anti bac gel won't work on them?Man plans and God laughs...Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.0

That's true also cold and Flue are normally transmitted by the air. Also you don't actually need anti bacterial gels to protect against MRSA etc. Just the act of handwashing (if done properly) with any normal soap will kill the bacteria. As for door handles on a cold hard sealed surface most bacteria will be dead after 20 minutes.Back to OP's original point about the availability of anti bac gel everywhere to help prevent colds and flu spreading? The sale of antibacterial gels is a marketing ploy by the soaps industries that feed on peoples fears.'The More I know about people the Better I like my Dog'
