As you know the government and health services etc. are going bonkers over hygiene. You know the catch it, bin it, kill it almost everywhere. Instructions on how to wash your hands. MRSA and other super bugs cropping up etc.
There's something that's bugging me. As you know, sales of anti-bacterial hand washes are quite popular because of the above, but isn't handshakes quite limited?
Think about it, you just use anti-bacterial handwashes on your hands mainly. Sometimes you use them as a face wash alternative. Maybe if you're a surgeon or similar then you'd wash your forearms as well.
The puzzle is; why don't they make anti-bacterial shower gel?

What gets me is the new electronic soap dispensers that are being advertised on TV. They're saying that it's more hygenic as you don't need to touch the dispenser to get the soap out.
Now correct me if I'm wrong but even if you have to pump a dispenser to get the soap out, don't you wash your hands and get them clean anyway? Talk about solving a problem that doesn't exist!0 -
Why do the doors to the Toilets open inwards?
You can wash your hands before you leave, and then have grab the handle to open the door.
A good 30/40% of the men do not wash their hands.
(Can't speak for the women)I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.0 -

The point of antibacterial hand gel is because you tend to pass germs along by touching things with your hands then passing them to other people via handshakes, touching door handles etc etc. So unless you go around rubbing your naked body on things (and each to their own I guess but it's not how I spend my day

Know what bugs me, the dentist.
Yes, they put on their rubber gloves, examine you, then go on their computer, then come back and hav another fiddle in your mouth.
They would have done the same with the previous patient wouldnt they, wouldnt their saliva etc be on the keyboard.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.

I will never understand why they dont have hand washing facilities outside the doors of toilets.

This Arabic (AFAIK) product is currently in my local 99p stores. Didn't appeal to me though.

Well the thing that gets me is that you wash your hands then go and push the door open, the same door that someone who has not washed their hands has pushed.The forest would be very silent if no birds sang except for the birds that sang the best0
