Monkeynut - if you were the last person to shop the place then it won't let you accept it until someone else has been first. It's not that it's your last shop so doing somewhere else won't change that.

_Persephone - I think the probation is a new thing, but I've heard a few others say they're limited to 2 jobs a month for a couple of months. They may still ring you and offer you more though. We'll get the question added to the first page to help others though.
  • If you email them, they may let you do more.
Goal = £9,000 in 2011, starting in March
    Current total - £779 banked by 09/04/11
Also growing, scrimping and crafting to not need as much in the first place!

The morons in Team Mel and Team Sarah should be embarassed.

I think they're running a competition, whichever proofreader can come up with the most inane query that month wins their team a fiver :D

I am hoping someone can give me some advice I had a computer glitch when originally doing the gyp orientation and it made me fail the KFC test. If I was to email them firstly would the answer and care or just ignore it or are they likely to help me get another chance at the test as I only actually had one attempt at it before my computer took a flip and caused me to take 2 more tries without doin anything.

Firstly welcomeand can you remove the client name please!!

Secondly you can try with gap but good luck they aren't really forthcoming with doing that.

It would appear it is national 'silly proofreading questions' day.

My original description - Female - 5'7" - short (to ears) brown naturally curly hair - black rimmed glasses

Query - Can you advise the length and style of the assistant hair and whether or not they were wearing glasses.

I have responded stating 'please re-read the original response'. I have also emailed the individual on the briefing notes as well. They are either on commission, targeted or blatantly extracting the urine.

I do wonder if they're trying to find out who it is who posts on here who also shops for them?

I can't imagine that the proof readers really are *that* thick most of the time...although some of the emails sent out by the woman who manages one of the pub meal accounts always leaves me wanting to email it back with a list of grammatical errors their when she means there etc, and a mention of how they respond to us making lazy sloppy mistakes like that!
It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

I have also thought this as I complete between 60 & 100 visits per month and with the exception of one from React (due to me being dumb and loading up the wrong receipt) and Gap coffee (which I am sure is the reason they sacked me - apparently every cup of coffee I purchased weighed incorrectly even though they were all within 15g of each other) I have never received a query but manage on average one a week from RE.

I kinda get the impression that gap coffee they never trust our times, weights or temps until we've told them twice - once on the report and then again when they send the email to get you to confirm it....but then we all know gap don't actually believe anything we tell them on a report unless its perfect, and even then I bet the client wouldn't accept it!

If you have a weight or time which you think is likely to raise a query, repeat it in the comments along with any additional details you can think of. Then you might be lucky and they might not need to email you about it after.
