Ok, this is slightly off topic (ish) but!
I'm moving (eventually getting out lol) and have spotted a new desk (need one, other will fall apart if i move it).
It's on ebay, but can't link at work so:
http://www.homeofficefurniturecentre.co.uk/twin_pedestal_computer_desk__white.html
I want somewhere I can store everything. My money making work startion. Most desks don't have very good storeage.
Now, my question is. How much is to much to pay for a desk?I get what i want. That isn't because i'm a brat or spoilt. It's because i'm determined, i work hard for it and i achieve my goals!0 -

I wouldn't pay too much. Ebay can have higher prices sometimes. I wouldn't rush in. Look at completed auctions to see if anything similar has sold recently.
Have a look for your local auction house and have a mooch down there next time they have a general sale. Desks and stuff sell for very little in that sort of place.
I needed a recliner and got a La-z-boy for £76.50, including costs and VAT...:)0 -
ya check out ikea as well.0

The RRP is £465 and there has been one sold on a buy it now for £255.
Ikea don't have anything good. Looked all over. Argos, homebase, viking direct, ikea etc etc and can't find anything that has draws/cuboards etc for decent storeage.
I don't think I have a local auction house lol plus i've only got 16 days till i moveI get what i want. That isn't because i'm a brat or spoilt. It's because i'm determined, i work hard for it and i achieve my goals!0 -
Down in firefox and chrome- I'm off to Sussex for the day-I can fudge the station job enroute -not sure about the bookies though-hopefully they'll be up again by the time I get there -everything but the bookies CAN be done in the morning before I come home if needs be -but it's a right pain .
Anyone know where in Hastings has free Wi-Fi ?
Most MacDonalds have free Wi-fi. I usually just get a coffee and sit there as long as necessary!!We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Anyone done a bookies where they have to hand out a reward?
The brief makes out very much that it MUST be given. What if they don't promote anything?I get what i want. That isn't because i'm a brat or spoilt. It's because i'm determined, i work hard for it and i achieve my goals!0 -

You will do, they don't really advertise as the main buyers are shops and people who re-sell them on places like Ebay.
If you like it and want it now, buy it...if you want a bargain, wait and see how things are after you move. Will it fit the new place?0 -

I think so :-)
I'm a compulsive organiser you see. ANd all i think it look how perfect i can fit everything in. And catagorise everything lol
I've made £60 from ebay selling so calling that 'free money' and would be prepared to pay £100 so, my max is £160. I know it's a bit but i spend most of my time pottering away at surveys, mystery shopping and everything else.
What i need is somebody to justify it for me lol ha haI get what i want. That isn't because i'm a brat or spoilt. It's because i'm determined, i work hard for it and i achieve my goals!0 -

I'm doing one for RE on Thursday but my brief does say that if no one deserves the reward to not give it and throw it away, as it has no monetary reward. I hope I do get to give it :j0
