  • why didnt i think of that? doh! took my ages arsing around with paint!

TBH I was not sure if they would accept them or not (especially as you could not tell why I had taken the 2 of them looking at them as you could not see the stall) however I was doing my reports whilst sitting a the airport heading away on business for a few days so thought I would submit them and then if they came back I would sort it out when I got back, but at least them the report would be in within the timescale.

I've been doing edigital travel surveys and saw some cheap flights from Newcastle to Menorca and I've ended up booking a week away in August :o

Can I put that through my accounts as an expense? :D

Going to Cala Santandria and I can't wait :j

I too ended up booking a holiday after doing an edigital survey...not abroad but a boating holiday in Norfolk :)

Another question about timings here, I know, I'm being a bit thick but I'd rather ask the question now so I make sure I get it right.

I know there are 3 timing points for gap burger jobs. I am doing a drive in tomorrow. On the questionaire it says:

"When you first come to your complete stop in the shortest drive in line" time in hrs, mins and seconds. I take this to mean that I have to take a time at this point, now is this starting my timer BEFORE I stop or just taking down the time?

I know then you have to take the time when you stop to do your order and then when they tell you the total and then the next one is when you recieve food.

I know that the one I will be going to is quiet at the time I am going so there won't be much of a queue so do I start time before I join the queue (though there prob won't be one) I've not actually used one of these as a regular customer for ages so I am a bit scared about getting it right!

Please can someone explain it to me? I've been through the training twice now!

You will have to record the actual clock times for when you enter and leave the site; these go into your report (separate from your order/delivery timings).

The order/delivery timing requirements can look confusing, because if you are using actual clock times you will need to write down three times, whereas if you use a stopwatch you will only have two to write down.

If you use a stopwatch, you start your timer as soon as you stop in the queue. When you order at a window, the next timing point is when you are told the cost of your order and your third is when you receive your complete order. So, if you use a stopwatch with split timings, your first time is 0 and the second and third will be the timings you enter in your report. With the stopwatch, you will have two timings to put in your report: time from when you stopped to when you were told the cost, and time from when you stopped to when you receieved your whole order.

If you record your timings as actual clock times (i.e. not using a stopwatch), your first time will be when you stop, your second will be when you are told the cost and the third will be when you get the order.

If you order at a speaker, it is very similar: again, your first stopwatch time is 0 for when you stop in the queue, your second time is recorded when you stop at the payment window and your third will be when you get your food/drink. Similarly, you will have three times to record if you are using actual clock times.

You might want to go through the training again as you have too many timing points there.. .

Maybe write it out it might help you remember it because if you mess it up.. Burger joint will look at CCTV and if your wrong you won't get paid.

Fair comment about the CCTC, jen-br, but not a very helpful response to the poster who asked the question!

The poster has already been through the training. If you have a look, it does rather imply that you take times at more points than are actually specified in the job paperwork.
