Not very technically minded I'm afraid so please don't shout at me if this is a daft question.....
If the camera is being pulled then eventhough the EVO can in theory record in HD, the input from the camera will just be std definition won't it. Are there plans for a replacement HD camera ?

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE tell me the Met have bought their units from DogCam. David Horn is the company that supplies most UK police forces and governmnet agencies with surveillence and communications equipment and, because I'm a really mean person with a grudge, I would really like it if DogCam were taking some of their business. (but that's a whole other story!)

    Thanks for the clarification.

LOL sorry Ill put it in non techie. Basically yes the HD camera is being fixed plans are to have it fixed within 4 weeks. but the recorder itself is still a gem. Probably oneo f ht best on the market to be honest.

Met have always bought off DCS. I know this for a fact I now know who David horn is and he tells a lot of porkies it seems after speaking with the MD of DCS I would be inclined to ditch David and speak to ED from Dog cam... He has direct links with Lawmate and have been working on this cable -- actually testing the new cables as well. DCS is the biggest importer and supplier to MS companies of theEvos and the PV1000s.

Mr. Horn seems to make this claim but Ive seen the PO and spoken to the various agencies DCS has sold to. I cant recommend them enough. Despite the inital issues I had with the PV500 which was the camera not the recorders fault I will say that DCS fixed it quickly and with out question.

Oh and you can record in various qualities even with out the HD camera and TBH it looks HD!

I did my first bookies yesterday, got asked for ID too which made my day (am hoping this is because I look wildly younger than my years and not so they can get a name for their new Mystery Shopper!)

It was really good and I enjoyed it as much as my nerves would allow, horse didn't win though.

WebExpress codes for Gap I have opened the folder but wrote down the number but cannot find it. Does that mean the job will be released and I won't get paid. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

The thing is... they want you to print them out to refer to

you could always just print out the back page

So much for no one picking any egg jobs! They have all gone bar 1 on my page. Looks like 1 - 0 to the mystery shopping company and their reduced fees!

They all went in my area in a flash

That's exactly what I think will happen too, oh damn that's annoying. I'm just going to remember to write the codes down straight away after accepting them now. I can't complain because I think it's a good idea providing you get into habit to check your notes for the codes.

I have a folder on my desk top labelled MS and inside this I have individual folders for the jobs named with the shop, date and MS co.

I have a great free PDF printer, Bullzip, which saves anything you choose to PDF. It sets itself up as a printer on your PC so when I get a brief & questionnaire, I click print and choose Bullzip. I have it set to save to my desktop, where I can then pop it in the folder. It's fab.

I save the brief, questionnaire and anything else the job needs in PDF and put it in the relevant folder in my MS folder. This means I have any job codes etc saved & I don't have to worry.
When I have done the job, The folder goes into a "Completed" folder which has the individual MS companies in sub folders.
As far as printing goes, I only print the questionnaires and I print two pages to a sheet, horizontal. This effectively gives me an A5 questionnaire which is easier to carry round, easier to store and uses less paper. I keep the questionnaire & receipts for however long the company says. I find the briefs have a lot of waffle and so I read them and make hand written bullet point notes of the essentials, which I take with me.

There is no right or wrong way, we all do what is easiest for us. If you are finding codes etc a problem though, do take a look at the Bullzip PDF though, it is so easy.

Walked into my second bookies, trying to look like I do this all the time.........crash:o fell straight over one of the stools placed in front of the gaming machines :rotfl: All heads turned, I went red and the manager came rushing out to see if I was ok . I can honestly say I was acknowledged within 30 seconds of entering the shop :rotfl::rotfl:
And if I get asked "How did that make you feel?" I shall scream
