So much for no one picking any egg jobs! They have all gone bar 1 on my page. Looks like 1 - 0 to the mystery shopping company and their reduced fees!0

I have 11 showing in a 10 mile radius of my home. I don't pick them up because OH works for the egg company but they haven't moved since they were first uploaded.Operation House Move £11993.60/£25000 (47% achieved)

Because I do this for a living, I print off the paperwork for every job I do (not just the MS companies who say I must). Hence, I always have WebExpress codes, I have TNS links and passwords, I have GR codes, I have every job's assignment number/job code.
Printing doesn't have to be incredibly expensive: have a look at n-up (print as small as you can cope with) and always print B&W, on lowest quality.
It has to be "belt and braces" for me: if something goes wrong, I always have the necessary to contact the relevant MS company.
My hard copy job notes, receipts and printed briefs/questionnaires are filed by date. When a MS company phones with a query, it is very simple to check back. My computer system is organised by MS company/client/job reference/job date, so if duplicate receipts or whatever is asked for, it is instantly accessible. I save everything to archive disk (by date). I keep all my hard copy stuff for at least a year (some companies say six months, so I err on the side of caution). I keep electronic records until ....... I die?
My diary is a great resource. I use page-a-day. My jobs go on there, with time frames, fees/reimbursements, ref nos (and expressing codes as well). They get ticked off there when done (and when paid, so this ties up with my spreadsheets).0 -
Oh and remember recycle paper I use both sides of my paper
I dont print everything but i do save them to a folder labelled MS, in that folder is each company... and in that folder is the 12 months. I bought a lil external harddrive for this.

I use the screenshot/print screen function for some and save them in a folder, also if you are able to convert to pdf thats also a good option as well and avoids printing.0

I print out very little. I read the briefs online and then email myself any important points (usually unusual things that I would not necessarily remember, like looking for a certain sticker) Job codes would also go in this email if needed. I check the email using my mobile immediately before doing the job to remind me of things I might forget.
After doing the shop, I make a detailed voice recording on my phone where I basically record the whole visit. What I said, what the staff member said, time in, time out, names, descriptions etc. Everything about the visit.
At home, I listen to the recording while filling out the report. I have a folder on my PC called Mystery shopping recordings. This folder had 1 sub folder for every date where I have recordings. The recording is stored in the folder named after the date it was made. This way, if I had a query, I can find out the date of the job from my Excel spreadsheet. This takes me to the folder of all the recordings for that date and I listen to the beginning of each one until I find the right one. I can also sort my emails by date to see if there was anything special about that job. I found renaming the recordings too much work, which is why I just store then by date.
I hate printing things out. They generally get messed up or thrown out by my super efficient husband.

You have been misinformed.
Who is David Horn?
Just speakig with Ed from Dog cam-- THE BU13 cameras have been pulled because of the cables.
BUT the EVO is NOT NOT NOT being pulled it is the most popular unit and the Metro POlice has just bought 80 units.
The recorder itself is fine and there is nothing wrong with it.
Not very technically minded I'm afraid so please don't shout at me if this is a daft question.....
If the camera is being pulled then eventhough the EVO can in theory record in HD, the input from the camera will just be std definition won't it. Are there plans for a replacement HD camera ?
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE tell me the Met have bought their units from DogCam. David Horn is the company that supplies most UK police forces and governmnet agencies with surveillence and communications equipment and, because I'm a really mean person with a grudge, I would really like it if DogCam were taking some of their business. (but that's a whole other story!)
Thanks for the clarification. If it weren't for mystery shopping I would never have discovered the joy of launch control.0 -
I have a folder for MS paperwork on my laptop and memory stick, inside its divided into the different companies, and then again into what paperwork I have (e.g. Briefs, Results, Receipts etc) and what they call it (e.g. if the company calls the instructions a 'brief' then I call the folder "Briefs", if they call it assignment notes then I call the folder "Assignment Notes" etc). Then I save all paperwork in the relevant folder in the format "yyyy.mm.dd - Store (n if applicable)", so if I did a shop for 'ABC Clothing' today then I would save the brief in the "Briefs" folder as "2011.03.05 - ABC Clothing", the results would also be called this but saved in the "Results" folder etc, if I did two of them (e.g. two different branches) then I would call the first I visited "2011.03.05 - ABC Clothing (1)" and the second "2011.03.05 - ABC Clothing (2)".
I then keep a record in a spreadsheet of jobs to do and jobs I have done, and keep track of when to expect payment, what I have and haven't been paid for as well as when I can delete paperwork. If I do more than one job for the same client/at the same store for the same MS company and have therefore given them numbers then I also put these numbers in the "Client Name" box.0 -
I currently just have things printed out and kept in plastic wallets with receipts and leaflets etc, each is labelled with company, date, client, branch and my initials (because my husband does MS too) then I keep them in a lever arch file in date order. I need something better though.Goal = £9,000 in 2011, starting in March
Current total - £779 banked by 09/04/11
Also growing, scrimping and crafting to not need as much in the first place!0 -
Just because they are wrong in spelling or grammar doesn't mean that you will get away with it. The Google tool bar has a handy spell and grammar checker on it which works well in most form filling sites. (including this one!)
Hi, I have the Google spell checker and it is great, is there a separate grammar one as I can't find it. I can only find a white smoke one, which I can't get the hang of.
